cool. Look forward to it.
As for some small movie news, click here to see the first picture of Russll Crow as Robin Hood from screenrant.
Simon West is in talks to direct Jason Statham in a reinvention of the 1972 Charles Bronson action classic The Mechanic.
Rummors have been flying latly as to who will be playing Mavel's Thor character in the upcoming film. One I actully liked (he looks the part, not too sure on how good an actor he is) is Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood). He was seen in meetings with Thor director Kenneth Branagh a couple of weeks ago, but when E did an interveiw with Skarsgard, he said “No, I don’t think so. I haven’t gotten the call, so…”. The other contenders for the role are Josh Hartnett, Liam Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam and Joel Kinnaman.
Christian Bale and director David O. Russell are jumping in the ring with Mark Wahlberg for Relativity Media's The Fighter (not to be confused with Fighter (coming?) out now/soon), which Paramount will release domestically. The movie is a drama about boxer Irish Mickey Ward (Wahlberg) and his unlikely path to become world lightweight champion. Bale plays Dicky Eklund, Mickey's half-brother and a talented fighter who once went the distance with Sugar Ray Leonard in a title fight but then turned to crime and landed in prison. Then he turned his life around and helped his underperforming brother find the spark for a remarkable run that led to the world title.
Demetri Martin, who stars in Ang Lee's upcoming Taking Woodstock, is joining Brad Pitt in Columbia Pictures' Moneyball.
Jamie Chung and Jena Malone are replacing Emma Stone and Evan Rachel Wood, respectively, in director Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch!. The two join Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens and Abbie Cornish in the action fantasy, which Snyder is also producing with his Cruel & Unusual Films partner and wife, Deborah Snyder.
Marlon Wayans will star in and produce The Year of Living Biblically for Paramount. Plan B picked up rights to A.J. Jacobs' best-selling nonfiction book in 2005, two years before it was published by Simon & Schuster. Julian Farino (HBO's "Entourage") is attached to direct, and Jay Reiss wrote the script.
Also, fainnly watched The Wrestler yesterday (while sitting in box office at work, payed to watch movies, YES!) and I think its a great movie. I can see where Vince MacMan (Owner/Chairman of WWE [old WWF]) and Dixie Carter (Co-owcer of TNA) would be upset with it. It shows the Darker side of the wrestling world. But I did see 2 real promotions that worked with them in the movie. CZW (Combat Zone Wrestling) and ROH (Ring of Honor). It shows the two promotions as they really are. The classy ROH and the insanity of CZW. To see CZW, click Here to see their Tournament of Death 5 highlights on Youtube. Click here to see a clasic match from ROH of C.M. Punk (now of WWE) and Homicide (WWE/TNA/WCW).

well, here's a little more movie news.
A big one to start it off. Bioshock movie is in trouble.
Screen Rant Universal Pictures has put the brakes on “Bioshock,” the Gore Verbinski-directed live action adaptation of the bestselling Take-Two Interactive vidgame. The picture was in pre-production, but the studio has halted that effort–and let some production staff go–as Universal and Verbinski figure out a way to make the film at a more reasonable budget. Sources said that the John Logan-scripted picture was gearing up to shoot in Los Angeles, but that changed when the budget rose to the vicinity of $160 million. U and Verbinski are looking at alternatives like shooting in London as a way to pare costs. The plotline takes place in the underwater city Rapture, where a pilot crash-lands near a secret entrance and becomes involved in a power struggle. “We were asked by Universal to move the film outside the U.S. to take advantage of a tax credit,” Verbinski said. “We are evaluating whether this is something we want to do. In the meantime, the film is in a holding pattern.”
The Sheriff from the new Robin Hood movie has been cast. Screen Rant Matthew Macfadyen (Pride and Prejudice, Death at a Funeral, Frost/Nixon) has been cast to play the Sheriff of Nottingham in Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood.
On a sad note, The Golden Girls' Beatrice Arthur, has died of cancer at age 86, according to an Associated Press report.
And finally, I knew that they were going to remake the original Preditor movie, John Cena even said he wanted to have Jesse Ventura's (Blain) old part from the film. We now know who is attached to the project. Sin City director Robert Rodriguez will be directing and producing a reboot of the Predator franchise for 20th Century Fox. Robert Rodriguez “I’m going to be able to shoot my upcoming Machete here, a sci-fi action film called Nervewrackers, a re-boot of the Predator series called Predators, and a couple of smaller movies called Sin City 2 and The Jetsons.”
The last part of the quote is funny. They reported not too long ago (earlier this week); 1st, Angelina Jolie was hired for a part in it (Sin City 2), 2nd, The Weinstein Company let the (Sin City 2) movie right laps. Now it's back on again? I liked the first film, but they never even said who now has rights to it yet. How can they begin hiring and talk filming when they have no company to back all this yet? stare
Well, that's movie news and mini rant. Have a nice day! biggrin

Well, here's some other movie news/photos.
First, click here to see Megan Fox in costume for the film she's shooting, "Jonah Hex" (I can see why Michel Bay forced her to gain weight for Transformers 2). In the film, Fox plays the character Leila, an ex-prostitute rescued from a brothel by Hex (played by Josh Brolin). The gun-wielding love interest of the title character sure looks the part in this stylish dress. In addition to Megan Fox, the strong cast of Jonah Hex so far includes Josh Brolin as the lead, Will Arnett, John Malkovich, Michael Fassbender and Michael Shannon.
ComingSoon.net After the trailer hit for Lars von Trier's new horror film, Antichrist, the movie quickly shot up ComingSoon.net's Top Previews list. Now, we've received a gallery of photos from the film, giving us another look at what the director has created. In the movie, Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg play a grieving couple that retreats to their cabin, "Eden," in the woods, hoping a return to the woods will repair their broken hearts and troubled marriage. But nature takes its course and things go from bad to worse... Click here to see the pictures.
Sony and Aardman Moving Forward with Two Animated Pics
ComingSoon.net The Hollywood Reporter says that Sony Pictures and Aardman Animations are moving forward with two animated features, Arthur Christmas and Pirates! Aardman co-founder Peter Lord and Jeff Newitt will co-direct Pirates!, a hand-crafted stop-motion animated film such as Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Arthur Christmas will be produced using computer animation. Pirates! is based on "The Pirates! (in an Adventure with Scientists)," the best-selling series of books by Gideon Defoe. The story follows a group of pirates who journey to London, meet Charles Darwin and a talking chimp named Mister Bobo, and an enemy looking to wipe them out. Arthur Christmas, for which Aardman is working with Sony Pictures Imageworks, will tackle the question of how Santa delivers all his presents in one night. Sarah Smith and Barry Cook are directing.
There may be some good news (or bad as the case may be). Apparently, Wolverine will have multiple ending (several hidden within the movie [Easter eggs endings as the case may be.]) People at First Showing saw the film at the Fox lot and said their were at least multiple prints with different endings. How many, they would not say, just more then one. They also said that many may may end up in the final print (better hurry up, we play it Friday at our theater).
and finally, Taken Director Morel Sets Up New Thriller
ComingSoon.net Variety reports that Paramount Pictures has acquired an untitled Tokyo-set thriller that will be developed as a directing vehicle for Pierre Morel (Taken). The story follows a CIA operative, stationed in Japan but on the verge of retirement, who is ordered to carry out a final mission. He finds himself caught in the middle of an international conspiracy.
A lot going on this week. So there you go.

I have not yet watched the Spirit. Frank Miller is a creative genius when it comes to comics, but I don't know about films. I was looking forward to it till I saw a clip online of Samual Jackson and Spirit (not sure who plays him) were fighting is a cesspool and Jackson hit him with a full tolerate.
Some X-Men: First Class news out. This is just rumor though, so don't take it as fact. From what we know from Wolverine (as it has the same script writer as First Class), we may be able to see all the members of First Class. Here is Screen Rant's idea of who we may see as the Professor's first students.
* Beast * Cyclops * Emma Frost * Jean Grey * Storm
We knew that Beast, Jean, and Cyclops would be in it, as they were in the comics. But in Wolverine, we see young versions of Emma Frost and a child version of Storm. So there we go, the (possible) cast of X-Men: First Class. Now, there's still the Magneto movie to come as well, so we may be introduced to more characters for the First Class, but the problem with this is, First Class and Magneto have different writers, so maybe not.
Also, Ridley Scott (Robin Hood, Gladiator, Numb3rs, Alien (79)) is planing to do a prequel/reboot of the original movie/series. All I can say is, it's about time they stop with the horrible AVP movies. They screwed that series to kingdom come. This could be a relaunch of AVP as they are also remaking Predator.
