Let's just say that Wolverine was not what I thought it was going to be..

Anyway, I wasn't very impressed with the movies way of draging out unessisary moments...like in the beginnning...but alas...there's nothing I can do about that. Also, Deadpool just made me mad...that was so stupid! gonk

I guess you can still call it an alright movie, but I'm not gonna watch it again for a long time...that's for sure! stare

I agree!!! (white text incase you don't wanna know what I think incase of spoliers)
I feel like what was the point of putting all those characters in it if they were barely gonna be in it? And what was the point of leaving Gambit out the first 3 to be put in for a whole, what, 10 mins of film-time?

And it felt really disjointed to me, I don't kow why.

And there were a couple of continuity bits that just made me go 'eh?', namely Gambit gets knocked out by Logan and suddenly appears a second later, jumping from one side of the alley to the oether wit his staff/stick??? Where did this stick come from? Where did HE come from?!?

And was it just me or did they seem to just randomly give people extra powers? I know you can argue that Professor Xavier was psychically telling Scott which was to go at the end but they really made it seem to me like he had extra sensitive hearing, like a lot of blind people can get because of thier lack of sight. This doesn;t make sense for Scott because he's not blind.

And I'm pretty sure (although if anyone whos a massive fan of the comic shoots me down I will gladly agree with them) that Gambit's only power if the explosion thing he does when he touches something. He chooses to use cards, but it's really anything he wants to 'charge.' He can't jump across an alley-way or do the crazy gravity defying tricks and he can't do the fancy gravity defying card trick thing they showed in the casino/bar.

Wow....that's me done on that....I feel much better.

And onto Star Trek. I've never watched the show *hides from death stares and thrown items* and I think I will see it, but more because everyone else wants to see it and I don't mind either way. I think I will really like based on what everyone has said.

I still haven't seen Wolverine, so I'll leave that for later.

As for Star Trek, it's better to watch this one if you know nothing of the series. J.J. Abrams said in an interview that this movie "Is a Star Trek movie for non-Star Trek fans". I've been told by Trekies that he did not stick to what the original series on several issues, but that it's a great movie anyway.

And no, we didn't have anyone come into the theater dressed up as characters from Star Trek. And I wanted someone too so bad.

And for Manda from the Puzzle thread, Watching 4 seasons of Family Guy in five days may be a bit much. Speaking about this, watch a classic episode now.

"We're even now, Right?" - Stewie
"You shot me in both my knees and set me on fire. Piss off" - Brian

Stewie Rocks.

Hey MandaG I agree with everything you said and I am a big Gambit fan! And no he can't defy gravity, it's just dumb that they went that route with him. I remember when they were making the second one, they said that gambit was going to be in it, but I guess they just ran out of juice in it or something...

As for Star Trek, even if you haven't seen it, the movie is still a must see! So I hope you enjoy it when you go! And yes, I love stewie too!!

"Victory is mine!"

And Zombie, about the Star Trek movie. I've always been an avid fan of the series as is my whole family! I've gone to see the movie twice now and both times my dad came dressed in full Starfleet gear! It's sad that you missed out on that!

Anyway, I loved the movie and thought they did a very good job anyone who says otherwise is just being way to technical. The movie is a prequal not a stinking remake...

And can anyone remember where this is from in Family Guy?

"Hey! Let's see the gross half of your face! Come on show us the Gross half of your face!"

I saw the episode yesterday. Season 4x23 - Deep Throats. The scene is Peter and Lois watching the Phantom of the Opera. Now that I watched all 4 seasons that I have of Family Guy, I'm now watching the (first) 5 seasons I have of Futurama (Plus all 4 movies).

And I'm sorry that I did miss that. The closes I have come to seeing a full Trekkie is a man showed up today wearing a Star Fleet Pin on his shirt. I told him and his wife about my disappointment and they just laughed at me (She also laughed at her husband being a Trekkie).

Ok, Small movie news.

Click here to see Posters for Shutter Island (Martin Scorsese) and Disney's A Christmas Carol (Jim Carrey).

Look Here to see the first footage of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, even though there's a year before it comes out.

Here's something of a big time actor that you don't hear much about anymore. Variety reports that Antonio Banderas will star in The Big Bang, a neo-noir detective story to be directed by Tony Krantz. Banderas stars as an L.A. private detective who's hired to find a missing stripper. The trail leads to the New Mexico desert, where the private eye finds a trail of bodies and contends with a brutal Russian boxer, three LAPD detectives and an aging billionaire looking to perfect the nuclear physics equivalent of the Big Bang.

So there is some news for you.

So Antonio Bandaras is finally coming back into the light, eh? I love that actor!! blaugh

This Big Bang movie sounds alright...kind of weird but alright, I might just go see it...

I can't believe disney is doing another Christmas Caorl movie, haven't they remade that thing enough?! But since it has Jim Carey in it, I might just see it, Jim after all is another of my faves!! xp

I am pretty interested in the Prince of Persia movie...if only it would be out sooner than a year...I hate waiting...sigh...

You better not breathe, you better not move
You're better off dead I'm telling you dude,
SANTA CLAUSE IS GUNNING YOU DOWN!!!!

Haha!!! I knew the Phanton of The Opera bit from family guy, but not which season or ep.

I do like Jim Carrey also! But I was watching The Mask last night because it was on Comedy Central (random, but we recently got this channel on Sky...I got well excited) and sadly it wasn't as good as when I was little.

Liar Liar on the other hand is still excellent! xd

Ok, where's this part of Family Guy from?

"Okay, fine...I love you"
"What?!"
"Olive Juice"
"Olive Juice?"
"Olive Juice you too"

Not sure about that clip. I remember it, but can't place it. I need to download seasons 5 - 7.

So here's some more movie news.

American Gladiators is going to the big screen. The creator of American Gladiators, Johnny Ferraro is turning the original series into a movie adaption with the help of Scott Mednick, former Legendary Pictures chief marketing officer, who will co-produce the picture with Ferraro, Martin Guigui and Joe Allegro. Sunset Pictures is funding the movie.

Click here to see picuters from the set of Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows (2 pages worth).

So there's some movie news/updates for everyone.

I know it seems like I make all these coincidences up, but at college today (I'm doing a writing course) one of the small exercises we did was where you get a picture and write something based on it. Our puc this week was the Phantom of the Opera, so I burst out laughing and then went on to say "show us the gross side of your face. Show us the gross side of your face!"
