Courtyard (North)

Suka looked around for a moment an then folded his wings abruptly back to his sides. Now that he was in the realm that he had the most advantage in he felt saddened that he had to leave, but saddened further that he had noone to fight here. He breathed in slowly and then let out another breath just as slow. The next time he got in a fight he would give it his all...the next time he did anything of the sort he would use as much energy as he could. He knew that was what would be best...picing a random fight here might not be smart...so that was his compromise. "You choose which direction we go..." he said as if it were fact, turning in her direction. "You haven't done much so far...so you decide where we go." he smiled more then he had anytime before...it could almost be considered a real smie...but didn't quie reach that point. He waited for her decision...the first level 8 or higher Nightmare in the direction she pointed would be who he observed to gather the information he needed. Then they would go off in search of the Nightmares that he had come to know as personal friends. Probably the would find Haku first...Suka hadn't named him...he'd recieved his name from someone else. Both of them attempted to feel human emotions and succeeded ain passing off the illusion. Noone suspected a thing, but once they left they forgot everything they had forced their minds to remember to keep the fact that they did not love from getting out. Almost immediately. That was the only real emotion they had to fake...Male Nightmares did not love...Female Nightmares were a different story. But Haku and Sharifka were male and did not feel the emotion that was love. Suka commended them on that...because obviously he did.

Kuro sighed as he emerged in the courtyard. His hair was still wet and clung gently to his clothing and to parts of his face. Some of it was still wet. Kuro now wore a plain white t-shirt and a pair of tattered jeans. His eyes where still wrapped in the silver silk cloth and he turned his head looking around him. With his mind he could see several feet around him and that was all he needed.

He slowly walked his way around the courtyard until he got the tip of a bench in his line of vision. He turned toward it and gently began to walk his way over. He may see the big things but little things still escaped him. So nice and slow was his way when he walked. IT gave him a elegant poise as he walked and he gently reached his hand out feeling the bench and making sure it was clear. Slowly he took a seat and leaned back agains the brick behind him.

It was so nice to sit in the open air after a bath. He purred gently and stretched his legs and arms out. It was so nice when the air dryed his hair. It gave it a lovely scent and made it appear silky soft. He sat alone on the bench longing to see the sky and the sun that warmed him from above.

Karin resumed her random gazing around, but stopped suddenly as he spoke. She glanced at him uncertaintly, but then smiled faintly as she saw he was and slowly nodded her head. Then she glanced around a couple more times and hesitantly raised her hand to point to her left. "How about there?" she asked, her voice soft. She remembered the earlier motion to keep silent, and was still not even letting herself speak at a regular tone. She shifted her weight between her feet a couple times, pulling her hands from her pockets and beginning to mess with the headphones that had been resting unused around her neck all day since she'd taken that nap to restore her energy earlier. She frowned very slightly as she again wished she had that bottle of water with her. Then she'd at least have a little means of defense. Right now she could only pull the water from her own body, and that hadn't worked to well the last time she'd tried. She wasn't really willing to do it again so soon. So, instead she just listened to Suka's warning and was sticking close to him. Her tail slipped from around her waist to begin flicking behind her again, showing she was feeling a least a little more at ease than a few moments ago.  

[99th Fallen]

Rai walked along the path into the courtyard. He wore a simple outfit, not feeling the need to impress anyone, a black shirt and blue jeans. The wind blew against his face, pushing his blonde hair back. His feet made soft noise aganst the stone walkway. His arctic blue eyes searching around the courtyard.

Rai continued down the path way slowly. He looked at a nearby bench and notice someone sit to the one side of it. Not seeing any others, Rai approched the bench. Smiling towards the other, he sat down. Though as he sat he realised the other had a silver cloth over his eyes. He wondered what the cloth was for. Rai then leaned back and relaxed in the peaceful weather.

Suka nodded and spread his wings again raising himself into the air and then in one thrust of his wings scooped her up and left the platform all at once. With another thrust of his wings they were gliding and he was glancing at every floating platform and peice of debri that passed, watching the randomly moving Nightmares aswell. When he found a Nightmare that was higher then level 8 it ended up being a level eleven and he swooped down onto the floating wall, skidding to a halt just in front of him. He set Karin down slowly and observed the way the Nightmare turned to him. It was abrupt...that was a good thing.

"What?...what do you want Protector?" the Nightmare asked after seeing who it was. He crossed his arms and folded his own wings as he moved, standing on the broken botom of a pillar which rose him three feet off of this peice of debri.

"Holy Power...did you get any?" he raised his brow looking at him in that curious manner. He held out his hand and a Nightmare Energy orb appeared in it. The orb grew large instantly and then hovered in his direction slowly. "Destroy that..."

The Nightmare just looked at him for a moment, and then a large bolt of pure white holy energy shot off at it. The Nightmare orb split in two and disappeared as the bolt of energy shot in Suka's direction.

Suka's wings completely covered himself and absorbed the blow. He measured the amount of energy that was in the attack and smirked. "Thank you...that's all I wanted to know..." he spread his wings again and ignored the look e recieved from the Nightmare. He stretched them wide and walked over to Karin. "Sharifka or Haku? They're names pick one."

Kuro turned his head toward the male and nodded softly. A smile nor frown crossed his face but remained indifferent. His long white hair blew beside him gently in along white wave. He let out a soft sigh as he leaned back and looked upwards feeling the warmth of the sun on his face.

Due to how close the male was to him he could 'see' how the male looked and how he was dressed. Something simple but it got the point across.

"Hello... I am Kuro... care to have your fortune told?"

Karin shut her eyes for a moment as she again found herself in the air, but after a moment forced them open again as she gazed around. This really was an odd place... and she didn't really want to miss anything, even if parts of it were terrifying. The most scared she'd been so far was probably when Ookami had tried attacking her, but he'd turned out not to be so bad. She broke from her thoughts again as she was set back upon the ground, well, a wall actually. She glanced at it and then towards the Nightmare Suka had chosen to approach. She couldn't tell by looking what level it was, so she had no idea. But she watched it steadily as she slipped her hands back inside her pockets, head tilting slightly as she did. She saw the Nightmare turn to face him and listened to the words they exchanged, jumping slightly as the male shot a bolt of white energy towards an orb Suka had created. Though, she reminded herself that Suka had asked him to do that, but winced with one eye shut as it hit Suka next. But he didn't seem harmed at all so she breathed out slowly as he walked back towards her. Her head tilted curiously as she considered the names for a moment and then picked the one that sounded more simple to her. "Haku..." she repeated slowly.

[99th Fallen]

Rai blinked as he stared at the boy for a moment. The same light gust on the hot summer day that blew his hair now blew his white hair. He thought it was intresting and beautiful all at once.He scartched his head lightly as he heard the question. He rubbed his eeys as he quietly answered,

"Sure, by the way, I'm Rai."

He held his hand out to the other boy. He seemed nice yet he still wondered about Naga. He pushed that aside and continued to look at his new friend.

Kuro nodded again and took Rai's hand. He shook it gently and felt a warm gentle shock run through his body. He sighed softly and stood spinning infront of Rai. As he did his hair hide his body and when it blew behind him it was perfectly dry and he wore a white robe.

The robe was as elegant as his stature and hair. He took a small bow toward the male and stood. Slowly he lifted his arms and reached inside his robe. He pulled out a stack of black cards and slowly put them on the ground infront of him. HOlding his hands above the stack he he lowered his head and rose to the balls of his feet.

"Winds of Destiny... hear me now... show me the future of the around. Rai shall know what you hold for him."

As he spoke the cards slowly began to rise and float in the air. The deck split in two one going under each hand and floating in the air. Rising his head the silver cloth gave a light blue glow and he spun rapidly on the balls of his feet. As he did the cards followed his hands and blended together with each stack. He raised his hands above his head and crossed his arms as he spun and danced the Tarot Dance.

Rai felt the boy grab his hand. When it shook he wanted to pull but stopped hismelf, not wanting to mess up. When he saw him he jumepd back as he began to dance infront of him. Listening intently to his ritual, Rai watch as he enjoyed the daning. He wondered where he ahd learned to do such things.

Admiring the robe, Rai leaned back into the bench. He sighed a she lifted his head to the sun. Waves of heat spreading over his face as he quietly listened to the sound of Rai dancing. Finally he opened his eyes and looked back at Kiro only to jump back in his seat.

Floating cards and a shining cloths were not something Rai saw everyday, but he quickly adjusted. He quietly wondered if the prediction would come true.

Kuro's dance continued for several more moments and slowly his arms fell to his side and the cards fell into a single line. THey started at his head and swirled around his body in a circle. He let out a gently breathe as he raised his right hand and pointed to the card that came to rest infront of him. Slowly the others melted together back into the stack and the one card chosen continued to float.

Kuro let out a gentle sigh as he took the card and bent down to pick up the others. Gently he stuck them back inside his robe and spun his hair once again wrapping around his body. WHen it fell behind him it was back to his normal white shirt and tatered jeans.

He stood infront of Rai and lowered his head.

"THe future holds danger and pain for you. YOu will lose many of those you love and you will have many lovers all of which die... but you will be an important assest in the future besides the pain..."

Kiri wiped the tears from her eyes and stared at Zephel. "Sorry, I forgot about being linked." She said quietly to Zephel. She looked over her shoulder at her back and rubbed the spot where her wings once were. It had been a while since she had last retracted her wings. "Nobody here knew I could do that. Normally I wouldn't retract my wings, but I feel out of place with them." She looked at Zephel, wondering why someone would pretend their alright when really they were in pain. She shook her head and stared at the ground.

Suka nodded "Right then..." and then he smiled. He picked her up for the last time that he would and then lifted the both of them off of this floating lopsided wall. He hovered there for a moment, and then his eyes changed from black to indigo and his eyes shot off to their right, he turned hard in that direction, and with one thrust of his wings they'd passed the level eleven Nightmare and headed in the direction they would need to go to find Haku. He flew faster then he had before, holding her closer but with less of a grip then before. He passed the tower they had left earlier, or at least it looked like it were the same one, with another thrust of his wings they'd sped up and almost hit two or three floating pillars that had two or three lower level Nightmares crawling on them. They skimmed past a high level Nightmare and then Suka had to kick off of a wall that he hadn't seen while flying to avoid hitting it. He thrust his wings one more time to get going again and then folded his wings abruptly at one point, falling with her in his arms for at least twenty yards before walking on solid ground that didn't seem to actually be there. He walked along this empty space for at least two more yards before he slowly fell downward again and ended up in a solid black room that wasn't there before.

A Nightmare stood in the room, slowly turning his head in their direction and revealing his light purple, empty eyes to the both of them. He had a slender body and held a black pole, he was wearing a skin tight black shirt and tight black pants aswell. He had gloves and boots that seemed to be just a little baggy, and had no wings. There was a chain that he wore around his neck, it was sterling silver and had come from the living realm, and the only other accessory that he wore was a thick grey belt that hung slanted on one side, not helping to hold his pants up at all. The look he gave the two of them was apathetic and the room was extremely cold...blood leaked along the floor of the room, but it was hard to see where it came from.
