rofl I'm sure you can always be a princess. :3 [And Tink has to be put on a line to the castle and stuff and all that flying around... x-x It's understandable the strict restrictions on height for a fairy because of the lines, but like, for the princesses.... That'd be like, epic-height discrimination.

Guess I'll be lucky if I get some random nameless character if I ever applied, like those pirate singers outside PotC.

@Melody: Oh man, it's actually really tough to get a character look-a-like position, because they hire almost exclusively in-house. You gotta start off on the Jungle Cruise and work your way up.

Alternatively, I'd also accepted working at the Tower of Terror or Aerosmith's Rock-n-Rollarcoaster. 3nodding

And from what my sister and brother-in-law (who both worked at Disney for a few years) tell me, Haunted Mansion and PotC are really popular and hard to get a spot in. I don't think they're hiring anyway. I know Disney World, at least, is still in a hiring freeze. cry

BLASPHEMY!

Not on Disney supporting anorexia and women being thin/compulsive over their looks, but that you are too big for a character. Like, too tall or weigh too much? o_O

I think weight-wise I might be fine, but I know height-wise, I'm pushing the limit for a lot of the female characters, and I'm only about 5'4"/5'5". I remember trying out to be one of the fairies, and I wasn't allowed to even go for Tinkerbell because I was too tall.

You're about the same height and almost the same weight as me. XD I can't believe Disney would consider that too tall. I mean, I know a few girls shorter than me but I've never considered myself tall and many people are taller than me. I wonder where they can even find enough people that short. @_@

@Vicki: I KNOW, RIGHT? I'm not tall at all; I often get teased by my family for being short. But I was apparently several inches above the max for Tinkerbell and hit the upper limit for the other fairies. In fact, I think the max for Tinkerbell was something like 4'-freaking-9".
