Determined to be the best hunter in the whole clan?! Then you are in the right place. It's here that each week you can try and collect prey for the clan!
THE BASICS
Roll a number 1-100, evens are caught prey (+1 prey point), odds are a miss, and multiples of 10 (10, 20, 30…) are a large caught prey (+5 prey points). You’ll need to collect 7 prey points in order to claim your 2 hunting points in the experience thread. Each of your cats are allowed to hunt 6 times a week giving you 12 hunting points a week per cat!
You're welcome to break up your cat's hunting into 7 prey point segments (up to 6 times) or shoot for that 42 prey points and get all of your week's hunting done in one go! Really, it doesn't matter how you go about it, as long as you don't go above your allotted 12 hunting points per week for each cat.
Kits have a much more difficult time when it comes to practice hunting. If you decide to attempt it with your kit then they need to hit multiples of 10 (10, 20, 30) in order for it to be a catch (+1 prey point), plus their modifier. Everything else is a miss and they hunt nothing bigger than bugs so no large prey points for them! They too would need to reach the 7 prey points in order to receive their hunting points in the experience thread.
Keep track of your rolls. Once you have reached 7 prey points you can claim your experience in THIS thread.
THE MODIFIER
Your cat's speed gives you a bonus when it comes to hunting! This bonus is called your speed or hunting modifier. Your cat's speed modifier number is half your speed stat. So if your cat is at 15 speed, then your modifier (rounded up) is 8 meaning all numbers between 1 - 8 are catches. Or a cat at 30 speed can catch any rolls that land from 1 - 15!
You may roll as many times as needed to get your points between Sat @ 1am to the following Sat @ Midnight (11:59EST).
