=P no, its not the newb AIM talk.
Can any one else sign? (preferably American Sign Language, thats the one I know, but any Sign Language is cool =P)
I've been learning for about 2 years, and I know enough to hold a conversation. >_O not 100% fluent, but I can spit out responses and stuffs.
I don't know if this will be able to actually hold a conversation or not xD

In fourth grade our teacher taught us how to sign "Proud to be an American" ...
I think I still know some of the signing too.

I know SOME sign language...if someone were to re-teach me, I can do it again. I had to sign so many songs for my schools and church, I'm surprised I don't remember them [maybe because it was forced on me...]
But yeah. Same grammar structure as English and it's like dancing, so it's no big deal. :3

I knew how to say my name. Once. Is American sign language the same as English sign language?

I learned some easy words before, but I can't remember them now.
My friends and I used to have conversations spelling out the letters of words though. That was fun.

I can sign using Auslan (Australian Sign Language) biggrin I used to be quite fluent, but I haven't used it for quite a while, so I'm getting a bit rusty.
I'm very good at signing 'Slow Down, I need more practice!' lol

Wow I'm so glad to see that there are people interested in sign language. My sister is deaf so it's very important to me. ^_^

[Sonic Offline] Duchess Dill I knew how to say my name. Once. Is American sign language the same as English sign language? no ._. almost every country has its own. some contries share (canada and I believe mexico share ASL) Actually, Mexico and Canada each have their own sign language. (I only know this because we had a couple visit our church from Mexico, and the husband was deaf.) Almost every country in the world has their own sign language; infact, there are even differences just traveling through the USA. Just like if you are from the south, you'd call a Dr. Pepper, Coca-Cola, or any other beverage of that sort a "coke", and if you are from up north you'd probably call it a "pop" or a "soda." Sign language has similar differences. You are correct about ASL and Signed English being different though. Both are used in the USA, but Signed English has the same grammatical structure as spoken English. (ex. you would litteraly sign "the-dog-ran-down-the-street.") whereas ASL has a very different grammatical structure. (ex. for the same sentence you would sign "dog(establish its location in sign space)-street(establish its location)-ran(show dog running down the street)") O_O wow that was a lot longer post than I had planned on haha ^_^;;
