Is it stoopid in here...
It is a quiet war that nobody has heard about. Fillippino, Pacific Islander or Asian?
Proof that Phillippino is Pacific Islander -Way off the coast of Asia. -Lies near Japan where people there are generalized as Pacific Islander -Pacific Ocean!? Dee de dee. -Tanned skin, anyone?
Proof that Phillippino is Asian -Many people prefer to think of it as a branched off piece of land from Asia. -Same religions as certain portions of Asia (Buddhism and Christianity) -Praticaly the same eyes, food, and hair styles.
...or is it just me?

DumberDan Sorry if I cant spell it right! Geez. I was born American in America. I was raised with American food and drink, and wasn't taught a word of Phillipino or however the hell you spell it. Sorry if this is making you mad, but "Philipino" or "Filipino" isn't a language. We call it "Tagalog" because it's a mixture of different languages. Anyway, we're a litte bit of both. We have Pacific Islander blood and Asian blood. However, just because we're naturally brown, have different facial features and such, we're both. The fact we're broken off islands doesn't make us Pacific Islander, though. Japan is part of Asia, and is a broken off island in the Pacific Ocean, too, but the fact that they're similar to Asians of all other countries, people call them Asians. The point is that it's just a common misconception. We're just different so we're called differently. That's all.

Just because you're American doesn't mean you need to be prude about it.
I know someone Japanese, I know someone Chinese, and I know someone Filipino. Honestly, Filipino's do not look like Asians.
Do research and you'll find out that Hawaiians and Filipino's are more alike than they are with people of Asian descent.

Sorry if I make it sound rude, I've just been constantly beat up over the years about it. I've been left in the dark when all my friends start speaking to each other in Tagalog and eating all the ponsit, lumpia, and everything else. Hell, I don't even have an accent either. You wouldn't have thunk I was pinoy if you saw me. I'm pretty light and I talk like an American. Sad isn't it?

I was born in the Pinas, and moved to the states when I was like 2 and a half, so yeah, I'm pretty much an american. I understand it perfectly, but to make those words into a sentence, man, I sound like I'm a Visaya. lolz.
But anyways, Filipinos being asian or pacific islander, I'm not too sure on that, but for the hell of it, I say Asian, coz if you go into an Atlas, there it's in the Asian section.
