earlier this week, I was sparring with my Dad and brother. Boxing, to be exact. My Dad hit me in the left ear, and it started ringing, but went away so I thought it was fine. My brother hit me on the left side of my head, and I fell over and landed straight on my ear of the right, popping the eardrum.

The one on the left slowly tore, apparently. I went to the hospital (atm I am totally deaf, btw) and they said they were both popped. They'll heal, supposedly because its not big, but my hearing might not come back 100%. Most likely it won't. (be back to normal, anyway)

Thank god I took Sign Language as a foreign language in school, right?

ZOMG, POOR YOU. No music?! IMAGINE A LIFE WITH NO MUSIC FOR -however months/weeks you are deaf- OH THE HORROR.

It's been 2 days that I've been deaf.

what sucks worse though was the day I was sparring I had bought an iPhone.

Well at least you have you health. Just look on the bright side of things. You could have totally lost your hearing and never get it back. Thankfully it'll come back...just not fully. But hey, you have an excuse when your parents tell you to get off your Xbox...right?

and no, I can't. I'm always on the computer, which is on a timer for the router. I lose internet connection at 11pm. relatively, my Wii can't connect to the internet, so I don't have a reason to get on it (everybody votes channel), and my dad is debating on putting a timer for the breaker to my room just because A) I know when to go to bed, but im deaf and can't her them yell at me. B) he was gonna do it anyway, because of slipping grades.

Take your current silent days to practice sign language (in the form of insults that certain people won't understand >.>) and catch up on your damn homework so you can use all your spiffy gadgets when your hearing does come back. Because it should. Give it a couple weeks, dude.

Wow, I'm pretty shocked that that happened to you.
I know I'm in the same boat as PTF about music. I don't know how I'd live without music. So hopefully it'll come back to you soon--even if it isn't as "100%" as it was.

i was once deaf for about three days because of a hard cold. and that was extremely bad,especially for someone like me who'se all life and passion is music.

and being like half-deaf..for long. D: sucks.

Once my hearing went out. And it sucked.
It was about thirty minutes after I got white-blinded by someone`s knee to the back of my head.
I was sitting at the hospital and all of a sudden everything got reeeeealll quiet. Which in itself was a feat, in my mind at the time, because there was women in labor and a screaming child sitting in the waiting room.

I freaked out when I realized the nurse was talking to me and I couldn`t hear her.
Then, it came back about two hours later. : D

It is good that you took sign language though. Defiantly. Most defiantly.

Now the trick is to find someone else who knows it.
I, personally, think that everyone should take sign some time in their life.

I've never lost my hearing, but I have lost my voice. It was when I was 5, I was screaming my head off and my vocals just went out on me. ^^; I had to wait 24 hours for them to come back.

Hope your hearing comes back to normal, or almost normal, atleast. If it doesn't you can always return the iPhone and yell really loudly at the store clerk "I'D LIKE TO RETURN THIS. YOU SEE, A COUPLE WEEKS AGO I WENT DEAF AND NOW I CAN'T HEAR ANY MUSIC. PLEASE GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!".
Then again, I may be the only one that would find that amusing. >>;
