Black Roses
-------------------
Mommy and Daddy were dressed in black
As they slowly prepared for the funeral
They was sighing saying she’ll never come back
They said she fought too hard to lose just now
We all had black roses sticking from our uniforms.
Tears were steaming down my Mother’s face
Her mascara was bleeding all over the place,
At the tomb mom looks at the burial place
She said, “You beat the odds, there was no disgrace
Its time to leave this god forsaken place”
Mother left Black Roses at the tomb.
Those who Angles love most die young,
But to die now would to be to die unsung.
She fought the Angles tooth and nail,
Till she made a daughter and a son!
I hope they learn to fight as well
I hope that they fight back and rebel
For they are young and they are loved,
And the cancer just left a Black Rose at the doorbell !
