You can believe something all you want, but the minute you start TELLING people "what it is", like you know what you're talking about, or that you have proof of it, is the minute I get pissed.

You don't know ANYTHING, just as much as the next person that comes in here, so don't talk like you have all the answers.

You say "I believe it goes by what you believe in."

You DON'T say "That's not how it works, its a matter of what you believe in."

Do you have to be so rude to everyone who disagrees with your own veiws? And in truth, what happens to you after you die is what you belive in. Cristians, Jews, and muslims belive you go to Heaven or hell after you die. Hindus belive that once you die, you will be rencarnated. Mormons belive that you will become a god once you die. So, it truly does go by beliefs.

I never even STATED my opinion on the matter. So how the hell would you know if I attacked her for having a different opinion?

You could believe you'll go to heaven and be with "God" and then end up reincarnating into a rat.


So "truely", you should stop saying the word "truth", because when it comes to the afterlife, nobody has "the truth".

Syko...although the presentation is put...rough, you do however put up good points. Nobody knows. So we as humans make assumptions for that we do not understand. How do we know that aliens don't look like us or anything else instead of the big headed green men we think of them? We don't know. So we make assumptions based on THEORIES. Religion is merely THEORY. Buddhists think they attain Nirvana and are reborn as a bird or some other creature that inhabits this Earth. Christians and Catholics believe in a Heavan and Hell depending on your actions in your current/previous life. There are many theories on what we do. But we do we base these religions on? Scientific fact? No. We base them off things such as the Bible which are suppousedly real events that revelated in previous times. Such as the parting of the Red Sea, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those are the only things we are to go by. Are they merely stories created by madmen? Or are they actual scientific fact created by people who actually experienced religious events firsthand? We will never know. People can have their beliefs, but they may not necissarily be true. My belief? These bodies we inhabit, they are but vehicles. Vehicles that don't have keys, and an unbreakable interior. We cannot escape. Our soul inhabits the body, and when the body becomes useless, we will gain the key...death. After that I do not know. However I do hope that I will be able to visit my relatives, my family, my friends. I do not intend on wandering the world...the universe alone. We can only pressume. And presumptions...as far as we are concerned...are only opinions and not reality.

Death? - It definitely sucks that it happens, but if people didn't die, the world would be incredibly overpopulated and then we'd all just be miserable. Sooo that wouldn't be very good. At least I don't think so. xp
I know death sucks, and to tell you the truth for whatever reason, I'm scared of it. Not so much for my own death, but the death of those around me. People who seem to leave when it doesn't yet seem to be their time. That's what I don't like about it. But as I said, without it, we'd be even more miserable. So it has to happen.
Where do we go when we die? - While I would love to believe that while our bodies stay on earth our "spirits" go to heaven. All that happens when we die is laying in the ground to be eaten by maggots or burning to ashes.
Heaven? - Like I said, heaven has a really good chance of exsisting, but until there's proof of its existence, I'm not going to put all of my faith into it.
Hell? - It's the same as Heaven. The only reason Hell "exsists," is to create an even amount of negative power to go with Heaven. It's just ying and yang really.
Now, while I'm not a 100% believer in heaven and hell, that's not to say I'm not going to be a good person while I'm living here. The way I see it is that heaven or hell is how you are remembered on earth. If you were a good person while you were living, and you didn't do anything overly terrible, then you are in heaven, meaning to those you left behind, the memories of you are all good and happy. Whereas if you were a bad person on Earth you are in Hell, which means people remember you for bad things.
heaven and Hell aren't real places, just titles for how you are remembered.
