Seasonal Foods and Drinks

Does anyone have a particular food or drink that they absolutely LOVE but is only really around during a certain season or holiday? Or maybe someone in your family makes a certain dish or dessert but only for really special occasions?

Personally, I LOVE egg nog but it's only around near Christmas. I bought a carton of it the other day and am drinking some right now. ^^ Soo good. (That's how I thought of the topic, lawl.)

Also, around valentines day I like to stock up on cinnamon hearts. Mmm I pretty much get addicted to those every year. xD

Cadburry Eggs. O__O;;

And my Grandma's Frozen Fruit Salads. Get those for Christmas and sometimes Easter. Greatest creations ever.

I freakin love them little Pilsbury cookies they come out with in the holidays. Damn...they're good.

I second the egg nog movement. I love to drink it too, but only around the holiday seasons. mrgreen

I'd say another thing is probably honey ham. What's even better is after we finish off the majority of it, we take the bone and the rest of the meat and make a KILLER split-pea soup. It's awesome.

The stuffing, the turkey, the mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy....Yes, I love all of them. ninja

I drank a lot of egg nogg the other day, and I almost threw up.
So I'm not really a fan right now.

But, I love pumpkin pie, Cadbury cream eggs, eeps, and candy corn.

But I probably won`t be drinking it this year because the way we do it, it has alcohol in it. : |

Unless I have my baby before that. Or is it bad to drink if you`re breast feeding?

Mmmm, pumpkin pie. I make it all year `round though, so it`s not exactly special. But Jesus, it`s still good.

Hmm.. oh I also like the little chocolate eggs that cadberry makes for easter, they just come in the little purple package and everything. Those are my favs heart

Macaroni and cheese.
Believe it or not, I ONLY eat it around Thanksgiving, because my mom makes the BEST macaroni everrrrrrrrrr. Even all my cousins agree, and we're like lions attacking the pan. >:3

And of course, Girl Scout cookies...think I'd get tired of them for actually SELLING them for 12 years, but man...them Trefoils are DELISH. :9
