I loooovvve Christmas! heart I even like christmas on gaia. xD Candycanes, baking, christmas trees, candy canes, possibility of snow, wrapping presents, watching my cat attack all the garland, candy canes, christmas lights everywhere, gifts, etc. etc. I guess I'm a kid at the holidays, but I still love it. Commercialization, yadda yadda. Is it a waste of money? Maybe. Am I a greedy selfish person? Probably. If I want to enjoy it, damn it, I'm gonna. xD We don't decorate as much as we used to, I do kind of miss that. It's nice just to do something different. And then go see friends, eat their food, and have some rum. :]
Sorry if this post is messed up anywhere, my cat came by and tried to do some typing for me. D:

Well let's see, there's: 1) Cooked food that is different from regular dinners. 2) Free gifts. 3) Happy people all around. 4) Days off from schools. and 5) free gifts.
Sure, my mom does put out the porcelain manger set (complete with movable baby Jesus), but that's basically it. If we pray at the table before Christmas dinner, I just sing "Atheist Peace" in my head. I mean really, my parents aren't all that religious, and they know I'm an atheist, so there's nothing to bother me.
Outside of my house? Sure, I hate playing Christmas music in Orchestra, but it's no big deal. We only had to play it once, and afterwards, we'll go back to non-religious crap (though, it being crap is all the teacher's fault).
I dont' live near a cathedral or church (though, my school does lend itself as a place for people to use as a church on Sundays (which does chap my a**)), and as far as I know, no missionaries or Mormons live here, so there aren't any people who knock on my door preaching their asses off (though, I think it happened once. When I cam down, I saw some old black ladies. I wasn't decent, so I wasn't going to open the door anyway, but I think I might have seen some religious pamphlets...).
All in all, I have no reason to dislike Christmas. It's become so non-religious, that it's only called CHRIST-MAS(S) because that's what it's been called for quite a while now. Plus, non-denominational winter holiday is just too much of a mouthful to be helpful.

Yeah, what she said. ;D
I love a good ol' commercialized Christmas. The pretty lights, the snow (or the intense heat, if you live in Australia), the delicious treats...and, of course, the presents! Now, I love receiving gifts as much as anyone, but for me the real present is letting myself shop like a madwoman for other people's gifts. I can honestly say that if I got nothing for Christmas, I would still be satisfied so long as I got to shop. My name is ZeeFishee, and I am a shopaholic. cry
Ooo. One thing that bugs the crap out my boyfriend is that I love religious Christmas songs, so I prance around the house singing them and being blasphemous. Except I never learned all of the words to most of them, so I end up sounding like this.
