Think about it!! Both are naturally-occurring abilities that can't be learned or taught... How is it a Kekkei Genkai? If you're against it, imagine, just for a moment, that it was/is. How is this possible? I basically started this thread to collect the opinions of others and try and get a new viewpoint. Even if you don't think this is possible, say so. I just want to try and get new perspectives, theories, and opinions. Thanks.

Because if it isn't a Kekkei Genkai and it isn't a Taijutsu technique(which it isn't, it's a style), then what is it? Actually, I'm not "forcing" this as a Kekkei Genkai: although it would be cool if Rock Lee had a kekkei genkai, I think it would be even more interesting if something entierly new were introduced. (Which could be the possible explaination to why he couldn't use chakra, perhaps?) Because if this is just a "style", then why is it so random(only a few people can use it, ovbiously), and why do people talk about it like it's something else? At first glance, it seems like a style as people seem like they're talking about it that way, when in fact, if you change your point of view just a bit, it sounds a bit different. Yeah, I know, I was thinking maybe it was one of those traits that most people do not have, but it does depend slightly on your parents, for example, if your parents have an increased risk for a certain problem, there is a high chance you will have a very high risk and get the problem early on. This is how I think it might work. Well, except it is a good thing. I think. XD But, anyway, judging from the show, a Kekkei Genkai is a jutsu apparent of one clan in particular, and we really have no way to tell.

Lee's ability to fight while asleep was attributed to "muscle memory", meaning that his endless training had so accustomed his body to fighting, that he could fight subconsciously. Alcohol not only puts him in a state of semi/unconsciousness, it also makes his movements erratic and unpredictable, as well as making him much more aggressive. So he doesn't possess any special genetic trait. He's just what we've known him to be: a hard worker and a total lightweight.

He may have better control of muscle memory(as seen when he was lying down and Kimimaro was trying to stab him), but that's probably about it.

Why wouldn't it be a Kekkei Genkai....I mean who else in Naruto have ever realy used it to any ability as good as Lee?

Haru Minatsuki Suiken is not a kekkei genkai. It's an art form used in many anime and video games. A lot of techniques/"art forms" have been kind of transmutated Kishimoto-style into Techniques/Jutsu(i.e. Puppets? The common conceptions of ninjas, such as walking or running on water/walls?) or, in some cases, Kekkei Genkai. In my opinion, this is a possible example of that. This I don't blame you for if you missed it -- it was filler. (But I still love that "なんだてめはコラ？！" (Nanda teme wa kora?!, "Who the hell are you??")that he does. And the psycho laugh. XDD) Oh, and (highlight for spoilers) he does it in the fourth Naruto Movie/first Shippuden Movie. So that was actually three times, but then again...
