I'm very close to going into my bathroom with scissors to cut off my hair because it's annoying and long. I don't really trust the barbers and stylists where I live because they've never given me the desired results I wanted. Plus the idea of spending 15-20 dollars on a haircut that probably won't be what I wanted doesn't appeal to me. I could buy candy or juice with that money!
On the other hand I don't have more than one mirror to see the back of my head and I've never done more than trim my own bangs a little bit. I could do irrepairable damage to my hair and embarass myself.
What do you think my best bet is? Do any of you cut your own hair? Is it easy? Should I refrain at all costs?

No matter how disappointed you are with your local stylists.. you will hate a single handed job with one mirror a la you.
Ask your Mom to do it for you razz My mom used to cut my hair for me all the time.
So climbs my dream. -William Rose Benet

Don't be afraid~! I just recently gave myself a really awesome layered cut. :B It turned out really well~ Just be sure to have two mirrors so you can see the back of your head. and don't try anything too fancy. C:

Yuh, my mom doesn't know how to cut hair. And I barely go to her house anyway.
I guess I'll just wait until I get another mirror.
Or make a mess of my hair and say that it's supposed to look like that. eek

Lol I used to cut my fringe on a regular basis when I was young. When I was 12 I cut my sister's hair and my sister cut my hair and she was 10... it was awful!! I never messed with my hair from then on. Sometimes when I have an idea I tend to stick to it till I get my way even if it costs so much... o.O Therefore, I'd suggest getting a haircut and if it means going out of town I would. Definitely better than ruining your hair for good.

I would stand in line for this
Like Jaft said, I`ve cut my own hair, actually, I used a shaver and put the longest thing on it.
I had about three inches of hair left and it was all splotchy and s**t. I ended up having to go get it cut even shorter to repair the damage, then several people kept asking me if I was the man in the relationship. >.>
Damn hillbillys.
Good thing about hair though, it always grows back.

Well i do cut my hair. :B And i guess its just luck but mines comes out looking good. I use a razor though, its easier than scissors because it gives it texture easily. But i recemend not trying to cut like s**t load off...cause' it might turn out all ugly and such.
So i say go ahead, i mean its just hair and it grows back.

If you haven't had much experience cutting hair, try trimming your hair a little bit. Maybe find some style tips online. I've cut my hair loads of times and I thought I did a pretty good job. But I only used one mirror.

I'd rather get a good haircut for 15-20 bucks.
-normal haircut costs about 75 bucks- [/headdesk]
I've tried cutting my own hair, xD But I failed pretty badly.

I called her on the phone and she touched herself... I know I would be terrible at cutting my hair. I've trimmed peices before but nothing major. Just like bangs and stuff.. But yeah I'm kinda picky with my hair.. there's only one hair dresser I've ever gone to that I've really liked what he's done to my hair. And he's not even gay.. haha. I don't know off hand how much just a cut there is.. cause I got it cut and highlighted when I went so it was like $80 or something but it was really good.
Geeze that was in like June and that's the last cut I've gotten. =/ Haha. ...I laughed myself to sleep.

I'm really spiffy when it comes to cutting other peoples hair, but I'm not spiffy enough to cut my own so I have to have someone else do it. (Usually, so I can donate my hair. <3)
