You know, I was reading those requests to enter the guild that were posted in the " A Day in the Life of the Crew - Read it!" thread. Some of the entries scared me. =_=;

Well, I joined Gaia when I was 11.
I got found out last month [oh noes!], but the mod let me keep my account.
Anyways.
I agree. Most kids my age can't type correctly to save their LIFE.
I've been in the 3G - Gaian Grammar Guild for a while.
I must say, I have been able to talk literately [<--How else am I supposed to say it?], about, ever since I joined Gaia. ninja
Anyone else literate?
And don't talk in 1337? D;

I try to be as literate as possible.
I hate when people type with numbers and whatnot.

I went to 7 years of english school to be literate sweatdrop
if I make a mistake it's because I need more practice
and I can't read chat speak ;T
my portuguese is mostly perfect ;D

It makes my brain cells die though. I always thought people in Brazil spoke Brazilian... emo Then I got pwned in History class for saying it. sweatdrop

well... a lot of people in my class write very poorly, since a lot of words are written differently the way we say them.
it's my first language, but a hell lot harder to learn than english ;T
and Portuguese sounds a bit like Spanish, but it's Very different. I can't understand a word of Spanish. But I can figure out most of other languages just by guessing ;D
@Tyra: xD I am Brazilian and speak Portuguese, but not like people from Portugal speak, it's very different, like, English from Britain and English from USA

& I think you've told me before that it's really difficult to learn.
My teacher is kind of spacey.
I don't think she understands that not all of South America speaks Spanish.

I've known that people in Brazil spoke Portugese o3o
Mainly because my crush is from Brazil... And he can speak Portugese. [[His parents taught it to him O____o;]]
And the fact that we learned about the Treaty of Tor.. Tortoise... SOMETHING
That gave Brazil to Portugal. ...when I don't even want to smile.

Personally, English isn't my best subject. But, I try hard with it online, because I know it pisses some people off. It pisses me off, as well. I can't stand it when someone says "Lyke, c0u1d y0u g1mm3 s0m3 g01d p1z?" So, yeah. Literacy is something most people don't think about.
