Kyoko, who is now the goddess of time, tells the princess Alcina that she has to become the Time Stranger to fight off the mazoku's coming attack. Alcina, who wants to be important, is more than happy to go with it. She steals the Time stone and then meets Hayato in the gardens. After a brief talk, Alcina shows how different she is from other princesses by jumping the walls to get Hayato out of stuffy castle.
Outside the walls of the palace, Hayato and Alcina meet Lunis, who is angry at the wolf kizoku. She says he is tresspassing on her lands. Kane (disguised as a boy) also runs up to Alcina and asks her to find Sui, the fish kizoku leader who has run away. Alcina asks Lunis and Hayato to calm down and wait till after they find Sui to work out their problems. They agree. The time stone sees Alcina's heart at this point, and she becomes the Time Stranger.
Unfortunately, the group had no way to get there. So Hayato decided he and Lunis would steal a air ship. After a brief run in with the first of Alcina's siblings, Arian, Hayato and Lunis managed to steal an airship and the group started their trek to the fish kizoku clan.
A storm forced them to land near the snake kizoku castle where they stayed the night. During a warm bath in the hot springs, Alcina and the others got to know the twins in charge of the snake kizoku. Alcina decides to help Kisuna see that his mother loved him by taking everyone back in time.
They all watch the twin's mother die protecting the children. Alcina can't take it anymore. She decides that beating the murderers up afterwards won't change anything and gets in a fight with Hyoukyo, a mazoku working for Rhian (the main boss of the Mazoku). He eventually runs off after a message for him came and Alcina gets angry. Hayato finds her like that, slightly wounded and scolds her.
They get back to everyone else and find that Kisa has run off to the stone. More mazoku attack and Kisuna awakes as the Thunder Stranger. After that, they all return to the present time.
Alcina once again drops Hayato first (because he's heaviest) and refuses to apologize for it. Instead, she stops time and draws a villainous mustache on his face with magic marker. He chases after her once time starts again and they both run into Alcina's second brother, Cadfan.
Cadfan wants Alcina to return to the palace and Hayato acts out the part of a villain (still with the swirly mustache on his face.). Cadfan won't stand for this and uses his super fast speed to get Alcina back. Alcina tries to stop them from fighting. It doesn't work as Hayato transforms into his wolf form. She starts crying, which ends the fight for both Cadfan and Hayato. He says he will listen to her reasons for not coming back.
Alcina and the others, minus Hayato, move into the living room of the castle to discuss the Strangers. Kisuna agrees to come with them to fight the mazoku and Cadfan backs down. She sees her brother in a new light now and walks him out to the door after giving Kisuna a hug. They run into Hayato, making him slightly jealous of her closeness to Cadfan.
Cadfan asks Hayato to take care of Alcina and disappears into the night. Hayato (who still has that moustache) then pushes the princess inside to tend to her wounds. They find out that Lunis has left because of trouble with her tribe.
They meet up with Kisuna again, who is embarressed around Alcina. That hug of hers really got to him. Alcina notices this and decides to be really evil. She kisses him on the cheek. Kizuna promptly faints.
During all this in a different part of the castle, Kisa lets the mysterious Sui into the house and gives him a bath. Alcina, who also wanted a bath after that muddy battle, nearly walks in on them. But Kisa manages to send her to another bathroom.
Eventually Alcina gets dry clothes and after a bit more talking, they all go to bed (Hayato finally cleans off his new facial hair too. ).
It is eventually revealed that Kane is indeed a girl, not a guy as previously thought. She is in love with and engaged to Sui, even though he doesn't return her feelings. They decide to help her, regardless. A package comes in for Alcina from her brothers, which Hayato recieves for her. He finds out the king is furious and now has a price put out on his head.
He gives the package to the princess and disappears. The princess opens the package and is delighted to find all her things in it. Arain sent it the moment he heard where she was. His note said that he and Cadfan would take care of father.
Hayato and Kisuna leave Alcina behind to find Sui. She gets mad and goes out too. Unfortunately, she has no clue how to find him and gets depressed. Because of this, she actually randomly runs into Sui who is dressed as a girl. He tries to get her to talk about her problems and she tells the "stranger." But before he can give her any advice, Hayato comes in. He recognizes Sui by his sent, but doesn't say anything. Instead, he manages to upset the princess who then runs off crying.
Sui follows after her and talks to her again on the swings. He gets the idea of hooking up Hayato and Alcina. At this point, Alcina figures out he is Sui after many hints.
Hayato comes up once again and gets angry at the princess again. But he yells at Sui instead for him being irresponsible with his clan, and then runs off as a new mazoku attacks the fish kizoku. Alcina stays behind briefly to try one last time to convince Sui to help, but it is fruitless. Instead she runs out to the battle.
Hayato fights with a mazoku minion name Taryn while Alcina fights off a new admirer who just happens to be a mazoku named Bran. He kisses her which enrages the already wounded Hayato. Kisuna sends an electric attack towards Taryn who turns to stone. Alcina then finds out that the strangers weapons can destroy the stone and kills Taryn by shattering the stone. She then slips and falls into the now raging waters brought up by the storm.
Hayato tries to jump in and save her and manages to get her on land before sinking to death himself. Sui comes in and saves Hayato. Alcina awakens him as the Water Stranger and Bran high tails it out of there when he sees he's out numbered.
Sui calms the storm and Hayato and Alcina get into yet another fight. She manages to convince Sui to come with them and after a touching scene with Kane, he agrees.
During this time, Hayato decides to run off to his own clan because Alcina doesn't need him anymore and he's feeling a little sorry for himself. He leaves a note for Alcina and crew.
Alcina, Sui and Kisuna then crash land into the neko-zoku clan, for more adventures there.
While this is going on, Lunis is in trouble in her own clan, Eclim, her brother controlled by someone, takes over her powers as the clan head. Hayato comes to see the mess, but he also runs into his childhood "friend" who was the reason to him not trusting anyone any more. Akira was his childhood friend, but when they were young still, Akira decided to betray them all.
This had haunted him forever in his life, and seeing her again was not good. Seeing how Hayato looked very angry to see her and every thing, she decided to make the situation even worse by going after Alcina and crew, leaving Hayato to deal with Eclim first. Eventually Lunis joins the fight and takes on Eclim herself while Hayato is forced to deal with Adyna, one of Akira's minons.
While Akira runs towards Alcina, she meets Bran. Bran talks her around into working together toward the goal of kidnapping the princess. And so they set off toward the Neko kizoku clan.
Back at the Neko kizoku clan, Alcina lets her curiosity get the better of her. This lands her in a bit of a mess in the neko house-hold, but it is soon cleared up and everyone is introduced to Kuromi and her family. Kuromi tells her woes to Sui (how she's really unwanted in the clan since she has a different mother from the rest) while Alcina listens in. The hime-tachi spend the night there in order to attend the festival the next morning. Sui and Alcina have a heart-warming little chat before they go to bed, leaving the princess wondering about her feelings toward a certain absent wolf kizoku.
The next day, everyone is introduced to Kuromi's not-so-wonderful fiance. Saga (one of Kuromi's sisters) insults Alcina, wanting to get a little time alone with Sui. It works, as the hurt princess runs out to the forest to let out her stress on some rocks. This is where Bran finds her, after sending Akira off to create a distraction at the Neko clan castle. After a hard battle, Bran finally manages to knock Alcina out while she was distracted by an explosion.
While Bran heads off with the unconscious princess, Akira runs into Sui. A very awesome battle ensues that Kuromi ends up watching. Sui holds out for a while untransformed, before Alcina felt his desperate situation and transformed both him and Kisuna unconsciously. He then takes out Akira with his magic, but soon keels over because of his wounds. At current, he is still lying there, waiting for someone to help him.
Meanwhile, Akira broke free of the ice and met up with Hayato again. After taunting the newly returned Hayato for a bit, she headed off to the evil hideout to taunt the princess. She managed to hurt Alcina very deeply with her words, even though Bran interceeded. He finally convinced Akira to leave for now and tried to heal Alcina both physically and mentally.
However, he couldn't stay with her for long, since Kisuna had followed them to the Mazoku lair. When he thought Alcina was asleep, Bran showed that he's not all that bad of a guy by leading Kisuna back to the other strangers.
Hayato, by this time, had met up with Sui and Kaen, who were trying to heal some of his wounds. Bran interrupted this little reunion briefly to bring back Kisuna and insult Hayato before returning back to the mazoku. Hayato took it very much to heart and had to get a little pep talk from both Sui and Kisuna to cheer him on while Kaen stood apart from the group, keeping in his questions at the moment. Kuromi was also watching from the trees, and jumped down to join the group afterwards...
In the mean time, Bran had the great misforune to meet up with his beloved sister. After some strained dialogue and a present that quite disgusted him (a human heart), Rhian decides to stop tormenting her little brother and send a mazoku off to mess with the strangers. She's letting him keep Alcina for now...
Bran finally returned to his room to find Alcina awake. They spent the rest of the night in good company until they finally both feel asleep. In the morning, Alcina told Bran that he'd have to let her go. After some persuading, Bran agrees and drops her off somewhere near an un-wakened stranger that Alcina could sense.
Aeddan, a minion of Rhian, chose this time to attack the un-knowing strangers, scattering them with a strong wind. Aeddan focused his attacks on Hayato and the near by Kisuna. He was eventually brought down with the help of a stronger wind user, Bran. After which, Bran let Hayato know just what he thought of the wolf-kizoku.
At that time, Alcina fell down a ravine by her own clutziness. She was helped out by a young girl of the name Midori. After some talking, Midori and Alcina decided to stick together until they found the persons they were looking for.
They eventually came to a the remains of the Bird Village. Alcina managed to save one little girl, Taffy, from the fire. Unfortunately, she could not save the pink haired stranger as well, whom Midori believes to be Kaen. She was also highly drained from the rescue.
The three girls were attacked by a mazoku soon after. With Alcina out of action, Midori stepped up to the plate and awakened as the fourth Stranger. As the Plant Stranger, Midori beat the mazoku easily and got revenge for Kaen.
Sui, who was blown near them, eventually met back up with the girls and helped take carry Alcina towards the direction of the others...
Kuromi, who had been spying on Hayato, Bran and Kisuna from the trees became the object of Rhian's attention as she thought the neko-kizoku was trying to hurt her brother. Bran, feeling his sister's presence near by, picked up Hayato and Kisuna and ran as far as he could.
Rhian set two twin Mazoku, Fei and Lei to attack Kuromi, trapping her in a pit with ice water.
Bran managed to get nearly all the way to Sui and the others before he collapsed from exhaustion. Due to a fast approaching storm, they all took shelter in a near by cave, though Hayato refused to follow the others.
Alcina, who was giving Hayato the cold shoulder, came up with a very brilliant idea for a practical joke and enlisted Midori to her cause. On the basis of gathering wood for a fire, the two left to plot and set up their trick.
During their absence, Rhian made a visit to the cave and it's inhibatants. Bran was still unconsious and fevered and she jumped to conclusions and nearly attacked. Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately), Sui fell head over heals for Rhian and charmed her into believing that they meant her brother no harm. She left soon afterwards, leaving Sui in a rather good mood.
Alcina managed to stumble across Hayato (quite literally) on her round to get firewood and sent him back to the cave to get healed by Sui. She then helped Midori finish the set up of the joke and joined the younger girl back at the cave. Sui had finished healing both Bran and Hayato by this time.
Another fight between Alcina and Hayato began when he said he was going to leave again. Alcina lost her temper and kissed him very forcefully before running back out into the rain. The others couldn't decide if they should follow her or not, and end up just going to sleep after a few more arguments and pep talks...
The next day, Alcina woke up and decided to go back. Bran left early, speaking only with Sui. His wareabouts are unknown even to his sister, as he contemplates what side he is really on. Hayato also takes off early, much to Alcina's disappointment. Midori and Kisuna clash again and Kisuna decides to just avoid Midori as much as possible from here on out. After breakfast, what is left of the group continues on toward the Wolf-kizoku territory.
Upon arriving, Alcina and crew are greeted not only by two guards, but by a young lady Kisuna met in a field of flowers. This young lady, who's name is Natsu, happens to be Hayato's fiancee. Alcina is
not thrilled at this announcement and intends to give Hayato a peice of her mind. Unfortunately before she can, Kisuna faints due to embarressment and looses his memory completely.
Midori looses her temper at Kisuna for picking the flowers with Natsu, even though he doesn't remember anything. With his "new" personality, Kisuna becomes sad and leaves. Sui scolds Midori and tells her to apologize, which she does after much proding. She follows after Kisuna and a very sweet scene occures. Midori ends up crying on Kisuna's shoulder.
In the mean while, Alcina is demanding that Hayato explain the situation with Akira...
