Is there really a big problem with it?
Or is it just a southern thing.
Because today I was talking to my boyfriend, who's white, and I heard his mum say "Katie's a sweet girl & all. But I want you to date a white girl."
That's not the first time this has happened to me.
But it just kind of hurts when people say that.
And I'm half white, so it's not that big of a deal.

What do you think?

I agree, even though I've never been in an interracial relationship I have several friends that are. But once when I told a group of friends I found hispanic guys more attractive they just kind of looked at me funny. I don't beleive they're racist but some people are iffy about it for some reason.

The concept of an interracial relationship being a problem seems absurd to me. I don't think we're a particularly racist country, though.
We just tend to be elitist for non-racial reasons.
