Look at the statistics...there is at least 75% more people on this Earth than there was 100 years prior. The world is in a crisis, and what are we going to do?

Problem 1: Culture. History lesson. In India, it is considered an honor and a privelage to be blessed with a baby boy as they will...

A) Carry on the family lineage
B) Cremate/bury their parents
C) Receive hoards of gifts from their bride's family

This is the first problem. The people in India want boys, leading many people to continuously have children in order to grant their wish of a baby boy. One family had 4 girls and were still trying for a boy.

In Japan, it's the same freaking thing...minus the abortions. They'll have a girl, but a boy is preferabel. Because let's face it, when I girl get's married there goes your maiden name, forever lost in history. Cry your eyes out parents, what are you gonna do?

Problem 2: China. That's right, I'm blaming China directly. Why they have so many people there, I don't know, I guess the sex is really good in China There's more people in that country than there are in Canada and America COMBINED. This has led the country to put a strict ban on how many children they can have, a maximum of two. But the damage is done and they're just going to keep multiplying.

Problem 3: More people = Less resources and More problems. Us humans are a growing problem. If you aren't informed, the world is on a tight rope, we have global warming as one issue and non renewable resources as another. We are like a virus, when one area is no longer reusable or is not sufficient for living or growth we move to another place to do the same thing. More people create more problems.

Problem 4: How we can control overpopulation. In essence, we really can't. Limiting the number of children one can have won't really help, considering how high the population already is, we're still increasing the world's population no matter what. Also, killing off people isn't either, its still a crime regardless and rolls under a certain category...genocide.

What is your opinion on the matter. Is it a growing problem?

i think .. maybe we should find somewhere else to live ..
like i ' m not saying the moon or anything ..
of course that ' d be pretty good too ..
but anywhere that we can produce food ,
& resources we need to survive .

You're absolutely right. I'm not going to agree with Seph and say that there should be some war to annihilate a large population, but China's already passed that One-Child law (or whatever the name is). If USA and Canada has that law too, the population will die down eventually, because (duh!) it takes two people to produce one child.

Well, some of the overly religious types that don't believe in condoms should just get over themselves and stick it on it already. In some countries, you also have to understand that more children is an insurance policy. The more children you have, then the bigger the chance you have of a few surviving, and therefore there will be one or two to care for you in your old age. This is a big thing in African countries and other third world countries in poverty. A large issue contributing to over population is lack of food and medicinal care. When they are having more children for working the land and to care for them in their old age, but then not having enough food or money to buy food for their large and growing family is a common problem, what are they supposed to do? Especially with the people here in America (I don't know that everyone here is from the US, but I am) are making gas out of corn when it could be used to feed the starving people in the world. But no, some people just need to fill their fatty tank of a Hummer to get 14 MPG. And if they can't even buy food for themselves, they most certainly cannot buy the medicine their family needs, so if one child is in bad condition and most likely not gonna make it, that's fine. More where that one came from. But the food issue is huge, even more so when they need the extra kids to farm the land and such.

North America is not in the same population crisis as China.

Earth is so far the only known planet in our system to provide the suitable conditions for life that humans need. Plus, humans are not that advanced yet. Sure, we can visit the moon. But that's it. Otherwise, it's robotics that has gone to other planets.

Not all of those countries are useless. The middle east is important to the United States, as that is the biggest spot of oil in the world, though not a good thing, is neccessary for the time being. Brazil is ok, though overall kinda iffy.
