I can't believe I'M the one starting this thread, but ...

Gaia's buzzing about the up and coming prom ((feels strange saying "prom"; we call it a "formal")). Despite being formally dressed beforehand I've gotten dressed up again for this; anyone else considering doing so? Anyone here concerned about having dates and so forth? ((Not my scene, but everyone's free to voice their opinions.))

Eh...I'll cook up something formal-ish for the prom.
Didn't go to my high school prom because... Why?
Seriously, why the heck should I have?
I don't dance, I don't socialize, I don't talk to random people, I don't really know anybody. Missing the prom was completely inconsequential.

As for dates, I never really thought about it until you mentioned it...

Mine was a stinker; not at all like a ball like I hoped it would be. And I'm not one for socialising either but I do like ball scenes; I would love to learn ballroom dancing ((among other things)). The food was lousy, I got placed at a table with some people I didn't like, and the dance space was a tiny bit of corner big enough for only 4 anorexic girls and a CD player.

And no one liked me anyway so I had to take my nephew. -}_-

But I had the best damn dress out of my whole grade; pity I was a fat heffer with straightened hair ((I hate my hair straightened; I look even worse. And because my hair's so thick it took two hours to do)).
