Why is Emo so dark??

o-o Its dark? Oddly, from what I've seen, I've not thought it dark (to me, goth is dark... emo is lighter... like... gray. xD)

real emo actually wears black as a compliment 2 another color. Black just makes that color be more bright in a way. For example. Pink with black makes it look like fusha. But anyway, i normally just wear a white band shirt with a black overshirt so yeah.

Dude seriously, I think I missed a memo or something, when did Emo become dark? Last time I checked it was pretty bright. *shrugs*

Emo isn't really that dark I know plenty of emo people who don't go around wearing black all the time most of the time but not always black is just a nice color to most of us.

yeah.. everyone says emo is dark.. I don't get why... but they do.
I wear black most of the time, but that's because almost my shirts are band shirts that just happen to be black...

but maybe people think that because of the theory that all emos cut themselves and hate live and everything in it.. which causes people to think of them as dark.. but that's not true..
