The Borderlands is the collective term for the nations of the far north that used to directly border the Blight. They are Saldaea, Kandor, Arafel, Shienar, and, once again, Malkier. After the Shadow was defeated during Tarmon Gai'don, the Blight receded back all the way to Shayol Ghul. Even so, people still refer to the land as the Borderlands.
