Men; this forest seemed like any other when you entered it.
Who knows what your purpose for coming here was? Perhaps you were attempting a shortcut through. Perhaps you were venturing for riches to be had. Perhaps you needed a place to hide, a new place to live. But one way or another, you ventured in.

And chances are, you'll never venture back out.

It didn't take too long for it to happen. There was nothing obviously feminine about the forest itself, but somehow, on the edge of your awareness, you could feel a feminine aura all around you. Trying to determine the cause somehow drained you... drained you noticably! First it was a very slight fatigue, then a weakness in the legs, soon you had not the energy to stand! It didn't take long before you were completely unconscious.
It was like being in a whole new world when you woke up, nothing seemed to be wehere it was when you passed out. As your eyes focused more, a shocking realization falls upon you; you haven't gone anywhere but down! Down down down! It seems impossible, but you've shrunk! Standing on the tips of your toes, you barely stand above the grass off the path, everything else seems to dwarve you!
After a few minutes, you recollected your nerves to a point where you could start moving again. There was no doubt about it, you were small! But surely, there had to be something to turn you back to normal if there was something around to shrink you.
Little did you know, you're not the only case this forest has seen in shrinking males. Not by a long shot.
Nor did you know that the females generally seemed immune to the shrinking...

Welcome to the Roleplay!

Welcome to the Forest. A strange effeminate aura can be felt, even if only on a subconscious level, by all who walk through here. And why not? The legend goes that this forest, relatively small in size, was a gift to the females of this planet. The forest was protected by a strange magic that only affected males, females of any race, be it human, canid, feline,, anything could go where they chose in the forest knowing it was their own safe haven, and small insects obviously were also not affected by the magic, but males who dared intrude upon this haven (also of any race), knowingly or unknowingly, found themselves in a world they could not manage on their own, left completely at the mercy of the forest...

...and the comparitively giant females that populated it.

Otherwise, it was as normal as one might expect a forest to be. A river winds through the forest, starting at the northeast corner toward the northwest corner, down back toward the center, where it drained into a giant lake, before exiting the lake through the east side and continuing down and out of the southeast corner of the forest. The northwest corner of the forest sits on a plateau, and there is another large hill just south of the lake. There are a few clearings around where females of all races have built more settled communities, but there are single huts and ramshackle shelters to be found all around the forest where some choose to live in solitude.
[[Just to give an idea of how small the forest is... after 10 minutes of travel at regular size toward the center and then shrinking, it would only take an additional day or two of travel to reach the lake, the exception being if you entered from the cliffs of the north-west. [: ]]

Rules:

Well, you have your basic RP rules...

- No godmoding

- No killing without the intended victim's consent.

- No powerplaying (* Though there is a small exception to this rule; see the next section for details.)

-Keep it PG13, although if you'd like to continue a completely PG-13 one on one roleplay through PMs for whatever reason, that's between you and your RP partner.

-Post your character profiles in the first post you make here along with your introduction. I'll add your profiles to the next post as I come across them.


But there are some special rules here, owing to the nature of what happens to the characters in the forest.

- All male characters who enter the forest WILL, with no exception, find themselves shrunk to a height of about 6" tall, with all their clothing/equipment shrunk on a proportional scale. (IE your shrunken backpack will still fit as it did before you and it shrunk, the blade of your sword would still be as long as your arm, that apple that you were carrying still fits in the palm of your now tiny hand, as will the bottle of water that was in your pack, so that your chaacter doesn't die of dehydration before getting found. >.>) This magic also seems to strip males of any supernatural/magic abilities they may have.

-Some female characters are rarely and mysteriously shrunk by the magic of the forest when their players want them to be. :]

- Female characters may powerplay male characters (or shrunken female characters, if it applies.) to a reasonable extent. For example, if a female character wants to pick up a tiny male character, there's not much the male character can do to stop a hand that's bigger than he is from wrapping its fingers around him and lifting him up. However, nobody is still allowed to make posts along the lines of "She held her paw flat to the ground, palm up, and ordered him to climb on it, and he obeyed."

And while you may choose to strip male characters of their equipment, I think it's reasonable to forbid you from sttripping them of their clothes without their consent, and even then, only to a PG-13 level.

But as I said before, if you'd like to continue a PG 13 roleplay through PMs for some reason, it would be theoretically possible, but strongly discouraged and quite against the TOS to go further than that without offending anybody, but I certainly don't condone that. Oh no. >.>

Females
The females in this forest are either ones who were born here (The magic of the forest is strange, even though it keeps males within its boundaries shrunk at all times, no exceptions, reproduction is still possible. Everyone born in the forest is born female. How reproduction is possible is something I leave to your imagination. If you want to consensually discuss how reproduction might be possible under these conditions in a PG 13 Private message conversation, you're more than welcome too. (Too many hint-hints here. xDD)) or ones who ventured in for their own reasons. The forest is a welcoming home to them, and perhaps because of the ancient Goddess's magic, the females generally get along just fine.
Females are also granted a much longer life and a much longer youth than normal by the powers of the forest; it is not uncommon to confuse an 80 year old woman with a 16 year old girl, both in looks and personality, around here.

She has powerful shapeshifting abilities, and even though her cat body is her natural form, nobody who knows her and her shapeshifitng ability can be sure of that. Ruth is very possesive and dominant, but also very gentle, friendly, protective, nurturing, and all that nice stuff. x3

Males
Everyone born in the forest is a female, per the magic in the forest, so all males are outsiders in the forest. As you know by now, the forest shrinks all males within 10 minutes of their entry. This magic wears off once they leave the forest, but by the time they shrink, most of them have little hope of making it back out; a distance of a mile or two seems like hundreds of miles to them in their shrunken state, and between heavy foliage and carniverous insects, the only hope for survival for all but the hardiest of them... is in the hands of a giantess.
Like females, the ever unpredictable magic of the forest grants males a long life and youth.

Other Info: Lenan is a stealthy theif who is simply trying to get by in life. Unfortunately for him, while he was making his latest attempt at grabbing himself some food in town, he was seen by the produce shopkeeper. Naturally, he made a last ditch attempt at escaping the city guard by running for cover in the nearby forest. Sure, he had heard the rumors about the forest from the people in town while eavesdropping on them, but he didn't believe them. Magic was a load of bull...or so he thought.

He found himself in the forest, hoping to cross it and find a new civilization. Ruth took a small bite out of the rather large strawberry she held as she swished her legs through the water. The lake was always beautiful to her, especially at high noon; the sun reflecting off the chaotic wavy surface of the water caused a visual effect that looked much like a firework throwing off sparks.
Her favorite rock--the one she sat upon--was also situated next to a strawberry patch.
It was by far her favorite spot in the forest.

After a bit, Rose stood up and stretched out. The lake looked so inviting in this warm weather, but looking up, she could see dark, thick clouds moving in. She could smell the faint smell of a storm, so, with a sigh, she turned about and headed down the path back toward her hut.
"Ugh, this is the third afternoon in a row that the weather is going to keep me shut in my house."

Sajo sensed the growing storm nearing, he let a silent sigh and he sped towards a tree to hop into for cover. He began jumping up its branches, as he met a quarter of the tree's length he felt his form had been lessened. He was mid-jump when he stopped shrinking. He let a gasp, his eyes widened, falling a great length due to his now small form. He fell upon rubble, nearly getting buried in his equipment. "I'm better than this... I'm sure I would've been able to stop it, but... I feel... weakened." He said, a few minutes after he recovered from shock. He gazed upon his equipment, groaning. His left eye closed, as it was getting covered with a stream of blood. "Damn..." he released as his form fell from weakness.

A drop of rainhit Ruth's cheek. She smiled and brushed it off as she kept wallking. Her home was near--but not too near--the edge of the forest, she still had a mile to go.
The rain seemed to be the scattered drops on the edge of the storm, the rain didn't really pick up as she walked, but a few more drops hit her. She smiled again as her home came into view and quickened her pace a little to get to the door.
As she reached up for the knob, she heard a thud. Her first thought was thunder... but it couldn't be thunder, it wasn't deep or long-lasting enough. It also seemed to come from a close spot, even closer to the boundary of the forest, a few yards from here. She stopped and head further down the path to investigate.

A heavily panting fox, Lenan, sprinted towards the forest with the city gaurd closely tailing behind him. "My only hope..." He thought as he ducked through a patch of shrubs and then happened upon a small pond. He knew that to lose them, he had to get across. He sprang from rock to rock, stepping lightly and skipping along the surface of the water. But somthing odd occured. Once Lenan was approximately halfway across the pond, he felt extremely weak. His strides became shorter and slower, until finally, he missed a step and fell into the water. He felt absolutely surrounded, as though he were sure to drown. He had seen the water and it couldn't have been more than seven feet deep, but somehow the amount of water seemed to triple...
Then he understood. The pond wasn't getting bigger. He was becoming smaller! He was hardly eight inches tall now, and being whipped about by the waves wasn't exactly helping the matter. He tried to call out for help, but he was simply too small and insignifigant to be heard by anyone. He sure to drown. "Think, Lenan, think..." He closed his eyes, trying to come up with an idea, but he felt his mind drifting away. He couldn't hold on any longer. Lenan fell faint as he floated upon the surface of the water.

Sajo's ears flickered lightly as he listened to the sound of his surrounding. His eyes opened slightly. He felt a nearing presence, this feeling causing him to sit up a tad, supporting himself with his elbows. His body ached and the world was cast a blur, making him wonder of his surrounding, hearing large and short thumps, like that of footsteps. He worried and began breathing frantically. He suddenly felt a form nearby under stress. He tried to get up, grabbing his staff for support, knowing of his stubbed heels.

Lenan drifted over to a rock and his head collided with the side of it with a quiet thump. He awoke suddenly with a deep breath that consisted mostly of water. He coughed up some of the water and looked around, trying to get his bearings. Yup, he was definitely miniature, but due to Lenan's stubborn nature, he refused to jsut give up and die alone in the water. Almost as soon as he began to "swim", something hit the water directly next to him. Then, something hit about a foot ahead of him. He looked up at the sky and saw the dark grey clouds forming. "R-Rain?.." He gasped out, trying to stay adrift. As if things couldn't get any worse...
