D'ni number symbols

It is time to take the D'ni number test.
Here's the first graph.

D'ni numbers are symbols based on a one to four counter.
The first one is obviously zero.
And the others are 1, 2, 3, and 4.

To get anything higher up, you have to turn the symbols counterclockwise, thus multiplying the number by "5".

And that's how you get 5, 10, 15, and 20.

You get everything in between by adding the symbols for 1, 2, 3, and 4 -
To the symbols for 5, 10, 15, and 20. (like so...)



Thus getting
6, 7, 8, 9
11, 12, 13, 14
16, 17, 18, 19
21, 22, 23, and 24

And 25 would be this.

But this is a more formal way of writing 25.
(further lessons later)

That's true.
In addition with the 1 through 4 main numbers.
Once you hit 25 it starts using a base-25 system.
(it counts things based on how many 25's there are in that number.)

By putting two boxes together, you can get numbers higher then 25.
(NOTE - this is three numbers)

To use the 25-base system, count how many 25's there are in the total number.
For the number 25, subtract ONE 25, and there is nothing left.
Thus the symbol is "ONE (25) - and ZERO left" (ONE-ZERO - see part 1)
For the number 30, subtract ONE 25, and there is FIVE left.
Thus ONE-FIVE (see part 2)
For the number 55, subtract TWO 25's, and there is FIVE left.
Thus TWO-FIVE (see part 3)

By following this pattern, you can go all the way to the second number divide.
Or number "624"
(the first number divide is at 25)


Thus TWENTY-FOUR 25's, and TWENTY-FOUR left.

It can be.
But if you just remember the first 4 symbols.
And the basic idea of how the rest works, then you can always figure it out.
(you don't have to memorize them all)
