You're Asked To Say Grace... What Do You Say?

So I'm kinda hoping that this'll be a kind of sarcastic thread.

I'm already well aware that people will say things like "Just do it, it doesn't mean anything" or "say no, because nobody should HAVE to say grace".

In the ridiculously hypothetical situation that you HAVE to say grace, what would you say.

Personally, I'd say "thank you so much dear lord, for never putting me into a situation that I feel awkward in", or something along those lines.

I'd say something like, "Thank you, g0d, for making it part of your inalterable divine plan that we would have food at this time. We pray that it is part of your divine plan that we have food on a regular basis for many years to come. But if it's not, we'll thank you anyway, because we're sure you know best."

Most people would probably think it was a wonderful, though strangely worded, prayer.

That actually happened to me last Thanksgiving when I was at my buddy's house. They all have a good sense of humor, so I just semi-quoted Talladega Nights and said "Dear 8lb 3oz baby Jesus, please use your baby Jesus powers, and bless this family..." My buddy Mike just started cracking up. mrgreen
