You know you read too much when...

You own so many books your friends start calling you their own personal library.

You think about what it would be like to live with the characters from that one book... all of the time...

You know you write too much when...

You start to dream about the characters from the story/book you're writing.

People start to wonder why there is so much ink all over your hands.

I won't add too much. (:

Go ahead and add some of your own!

You know you read too much when...

The only thing on your mind is the next book you're going to read.

Your imagination bursts with your own ideas through concepts others have come up with.

You know you write too much when...

You join a writer's guild.

You decide you want to do English at A level.

You know you read too much when...
You find constant references to random books in nearly every conversation.
You start subconsiously imitating the habits and quirks of your favorite characters.
You know you write too much when...
You have more than the average amount of notebooks.
You must have paper and a pen around at all times, in case inspiration strikes.

You know you write too much when you write EVERYTHING out in your head. (I do that)
You know you write to much if you find yourself acting out a certain scene from a story you're writing, while walking down the hall at school... sweatdrop

You know you read too much when your friends expect you to have every book in a series they're reading.
You know you read too much when your friends ask you random questions so you'll help them with a report, when you can pick any book.

You know you read too much when

You dream about books you've read and dream about living in the plots

All you ever think about are the last books you've read

You know you write too much when

You feel like you're actually in your story with the characters

All you ever think about is your story

While in school you think about what should happen next and doodle it out on your notebooks. xP

You know you read too much when...

You get annoyed when interrupted during a reading session.... XD

You know you write too much when...

You get ideas about your story at school when you can't write it down and then by the time you get home you can't remember it. XD

You know you read to much when:

You obsess over the names of characters other people have never heard of.

You actually consider buying stock in a book store.

You quote fictional characters.

You know you write to much when:

You proof-read your text messages (sent and received.)

You get inexplicably good grades in English (maybe.)

Your characters begin to talk to you when your mind wanders.

You know you read too much when...

You decide to put on a puppet show of one of your favourite books. (Twilight next week for my school's open evening.)

You have fictional boyfriends/girlfriends/spouses from books.

When you watch a film and something happens, you say "oh I read a book like this once..." and a long talk about the book you read and the similarities and differences between it and the film, much to the annoyance of your friends/family/prisoners.

You know you write too much when...

You start to write your story as a book in your head as you live it. (For example: "She wandered down the road, bored out of her mind but looking forward to getting home.")

Your computer runs out of space because of all the stories and poems you've stored on it.

You want to write a book of the book you've just read. (I know it sounds weird but I will read something and think "oh that's a great idea for a story, I should write it dow- oh wait... it's already written...)

You have a specific notebook for writing ideas and stories in and you must carry it everywhere with you.

Ha ha, prisoners... My friends could attest to me doing that!

Your students ask you "are you doing your homework?" during your lunch break.
"No, I am just reading for FUN."
"Oh. But what about your lunch?"
"I can snack and teach at the same time!"

You know you read too much when:

People ask you who you want for president and you answer with your favorite character (and you weren't kidding).

Your boss tells you break is over and you say "Just let me get to the next chapter."

You know you write too much when

You run suddenly off the forklift because you had an idea and no pen.

You won't wash your jeans till you transfer all the ideas/scribblings to paper.

You have multiple copies of your works, one on the computer, one on cd, one on an external drive, two printed with at least one in a fireproof safe with the cd.

You know you read to much when...

You miss a good burn because you had to finish the sentence/paragraph before coming back to the world.
Your most popular teacher teases that you're reading a dirty book.
You use a reference in real life from your book.
You ignore your English professor and argue that it is part of the curriculum.
You forget to eat lunch.
You knock your brain around trying to get the image of the character strait.

You know you write too much when...

You get up from a warm bed in the middle of winter to jot down an idea for a scene later on.
You doze off trying to remember what happened four chapters back.
You take on the life of your characters in your free time.
You rehearse scenes to figure out what to do next, but everyone just thinks you're talking to yourself and you are oblivious to it.
You forget to eat lunch.
You find yourself walking around to do everyday agenda with a notebook and pen with you.
You try to correct errors on other peoples' writing (essay, poem, ect.)
