Anarchy vs Communism

Something I never understood: there are a lot of liberals call themselves anarchists, they fight against the man and anti-conformist (is that right term for it) but they believe in socialism and communism. According to my text book knowledge, communism and anarchy are complete opposites! Anarchy is the lack of government, communism is all government (and socialism is just a lesser form of that). Communism requires that your conform!! Infact if you don't, you're put into prison.
Can someone tell me how you can be an anarchist and a communist!! Capitalism is closer to anarchy than communism is.
Am I just nieve?

Actually we believe in less government when it comes to restricting rights... (of course some are for gun control, and such) really I find it confusing my self... I'm just a socialistic utilitarian... that's how I define myself, I'm not sure about these anarchy/communist people!

soo... nobody own anything and nobody controls anything... just do whatever you want and take whatever you want. And I'm sure they believe everyone will play nice. That is absurd.

Honestly, I believe that there's just two different kinds of liberals, the one's who want freedoms (anarchists,) and the one's that want to save the poor (socialists/communists,) and the very few of us like me (socialist utilitarians)

if our country ever became a communist country, there will be anarchy for sure. and i have a feeling that obama will most likely try and take away a few of our rights. my grampa says that he may try and take away the right to free media. he says that obama would love to take foxnews off the air.

Did you hear the radio announcement about this when the elections were still going on? They had said that Obama was following the same path and characterisms as a communist leader (Castro). I fail to see how he has the power to take away our rights. Not to mention though our country is taking away our rights little by little subtly, slowly turning us into their ignorant pawns. They leave us in ignorance, and believe me my friends, ignorance is not bliss. I think anarchy is just people who WANT to break the government. They like the idea of freedom of such. Why it hasn't happened? No one has the backbone to go against the big man.
I seriously doubt an anarchy "government" would work, not to say that the governments of now adays work. People would run wild, remember when the states had the rights to make all their own laws and rules until we had a central government? It was pandemonium! Why it wouldn't work? Because everyone has their own views, those views would clash, there would be no system of law because there would be no laws, our country would fall down at our feet and break out in total civil war.

Alright, Obama is not going to be the next Castro. The problem is that he's a liberal and a globalist that has just been thrust into power by ignorant people and blacks who are just seeking to thrust a black man into power for the first time in history.

a couple days or so ago, i was watching foxnews and some guy went to ppl who voted for obama and asked them questions like who has control over the senate and house (comletely off topic it i know!). hardly anyone knew what the answers were. and the guy asked who said that there were 57 states, they didnt know either. they all thought it was Sara Palin. that is how stupid most ppl are in this country. they dont realize that our country is royally screwd because now, some of Clintons staff members are joining into the Obama staff.

I think you're right, at least I'm hoping that you're right. I don't know how far the American people, or the rest of the world, will allow the communists in our government go. They might let them go as far as socialism, but I don't think they'll allow the USA become another Cuba or Russia. And really... the more I see Obama, the less of a threat I see him, I think he's going to be a rather weak president who won't know what to do. Joe Biden's ... ugh... right when he said the world is going to test Obama with a crisis, and I don't think he's going to succeed. Obama won't be able to keep all his promises and he's going to upset a lot of people- and they won't be able to pin it on Bush.
Comic strip in my paper, it would seem that when everything goes for the worse, the Democrates won't have anyone to blame but themselves.

I don't know about fox news, but they'll probably try to get rid of conservative talk radio. Obama alone doesn't have the power, but with Congress? It's a possibility. Apparently it was done before but eventually overturned. It's called the Fairness Doctrine. If you look at the text of the thing it looks reasonably all right, but in practice, not so much.

Then there are hate speech/crimes laws that could be passed--here's a story about one from California. No specifics, probably not the greatest source, but I remember reading about it in a more... legal text type of format shortly after it was passed and there's a twenty something thousand dollar fine and/or six months jail time for anything construed as hate speech--a violation of the first and eight amendments if you ask me.

And then there's the gun control issue....

There's unverified talk about some guy in Michigan reviving the subject of reparations if Obama got into office....

There's his universal health care--socialism.

And others that I can't remember at the moment.

Obama alone doesn't have the power to do a whole lot, but with a liberal Congress too? That changes things. No pun intended.
