Did you waste it on something stupid because you were a nooby to Pokemon? I know I did, back in the day. I used it on a Chansey because the Pokemon book I had said that there was only a "chance" of catching it, and hell, I didn't know about legendaries, yet. I figured out what a Pokeball was by throwing them at Pokemon. xd Oh man, that was over ten years ago. Kinda sad..
My friend used one in his first Pokemon game when he was running back through Viridian Forest, because he saw a Pikachu, and he'd never seen one in the game. xd

I used it on Articuno, which, while it may seem like a good choice, I regretted with the time spent trying to catch mewtwo without it. I have more than 840 hours on blue version thanks to that cool
Edit: yes i did eventually catch him xd

Articuno, cause I'd spent FOREVER in the Seafoam Islands, trying to get to it, only to realize I had like .. a Masterball, and a couple of Great Balls.
Mewtwo was quite the challenge then.
The last time I played Sapphire, I used my Masterball on a Vulpix.
It was Shiny. <3

Back in the Red version I used it on a Ditto just outside Indigo Plateau.
No other ball worked on the dang thing.
Nowadays I just use it as a last resort on legendaries.

I misread the description in the manual as being the pokeball that can catch up to 100 pokemon. xd

My first Master Ball was used on Unknown. -_- Silver was my first game, but that was an accident, so I was able to restart it.
In my Blue Game, I sharked my first Master Ball. I knew quite well what I was doing even before I got the game. I didn't want only one, like with my Silver game.

I used my first one on Kyogre (didn't actually get my first Pokemon 'till I was 12). After that, I got smart and saved it for the highest level.
