wierd Bible Verses

Heh. The Book of Ezekial is probably the most badass part of The Bible. Not only is it brimming with sex, it has undead armies.

The Bible is actually a really good book despite the preachy parts.

lol if Christians believe it "word for word" then that's horrible. most of it is metaphorical and not to be taken literal. but most of the bible is also literal writing. for instance the book of revelations is chalk full of metaphors so if people take it literally they're on crack. The book of Job shows the fallacy in some teachings. a classic example is "eye for an eye". The book of Job teaches about how a false teaching like that is wrong. But some people take it as something we're supposed to that. That revenge is okay etc etc. So its all in "how" you read it.

lol you should read Song of Songs. Its ONLY about sex and how sex was created to be between two lovers and how its meant to unite two people to become one after marriage. It's wonderful poetry.

I can't remember what book its in, but there's a story of....god was it a woman? Think it was about a woman who was killed and her body was cut into different sections and those sections were put into different corners of the city. Its an interesting but sobering story.

The funniest thing is, the bible is full of war stories and some people say how its "thou shall not kill" which wrongly translated in some bibles like the King James. its supposed to be "thou shall not murder". If it was "thou shall not kill" that would be a contradiction about what the bible teaches. A classic example is some verses in Psalms teaching "....a time for war and a time for peace..."

The OT is kickass! xd Sex, murder and violence, politics solved the old fashioned way, and super heroes who massacre entire armies.

With all the stuff they censor today, I'm surprised no one has thought of putting an "explicit" rating sticker on the Bible yet. But then again, some stuff it just way too good to touch.
