Chromatic-Death

Art of fugue: Contrapunctus XIV (the final fugue)
First and last four notes of the masterpiece: B,A,C,H (german letter notation)

B(flat), A, C, B (standard notation)

It still makes me sentimental knowing that Bach loved music so much, that he still wrote when he was in sheer pain and suffering crying

I am very inspired by Bach's music. I favor baroque music, and he's one of my absolute favorites. He was amazing and truly a genius.

I favor the Baroque as well whee

He really was a genious. It has been said: "If music were religion, then Bach would be God."
To think he wrote the Well Tempered Clavier as an exercise and to show people how to tune a harpsichord.

His music exhilirates me, have you ever heard the Chromatic Fantasy?

I have a copy of chromatic fantasy somewhere. Its awesome. When I need an inspiratinon and encouragement boost I go to Bach, and also Vivaldi too.

I wrote a poem about Bach and God, a few years ago.

The idea was, that Bach's music makes me feel as if I'm in a church. As if I AM a church, and I am full of praise and love for God.

And I don't even go to church x3

I like to play Bach's Toccatas. His Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue is fun too, it's just really difficult >_<

My all time favorite compositions of his were the unacompanied cello suites he wrote. Other than those, I really don't care for him. But just so nobody jumps at me, the prelude to suite 1. is my favorite piece of all time. I think the best performer of these suites is Mstislav Rostropovich(I just think he is the Greatest Cellist in Recorded History) I strongly recommend youtubing him play the suites if you have never heard them before.

The bach cello suites are my world.
In New York there this music festival/competition called NYSSMA. I had been praticing a Saint-Seans peice with my teacher for almost a year, but when I got to the competition, I didn't want to play it. Instead, I played the prelude to the second suite in D minor from memory, even though it wasn't even in the NYSSMA manual listing of songs cellos could play! I got an 98/100 and have loved Bach ever since.
He is pure genius, as is all Baroque music
