Though it seems to me that it is true especially for those that do not wish to, not have a special someone.

Lol, actually the origins of Valentine's Day show that it should be celebrated only by married couples. whee Saint Valentine (not his real name) was a priest during the days of the Roman Empire. The Caesar decided that single men made better soldiers, so he declared that none of his soldiers could get married. Valentine defied orders and married soldiers in secret. Eventually, he was caught and executed, but the point is that V-Day should really be a day to celebrate marriage, not love or dating.

I have always celebrated valentines day as a day to show love to all those I care about. No matter if it's romantic love, family love, or simply friendship love. That's why ever since I was young I would always get everyone a valentines gift. xD

It was not really... I was staying home on valentine's day. I just got candies and cards from my family.
