WindowOpener whee whee One of the subtle hopes of this thread was that we'd get to see if any of our ideas sparked interest, and maybe be motivated to finally give them a shot. smile I'll try to start planning a guild 'design' kind of place... although I might just end up taking over the Guides subforum in the mean time. ninja I really like the world politics idea. heart I love American politics, of course. Yes, it's everywhere, and that's not because Americans are self-centred, it's just because there's so many of them on the internetz. whee But I'd really love it if there was somewhere I could talk about Australian politics with people on Gaia, since that's what I'm closest to. And it would be nice to get a flavour of other overseas political topics as well. ^^ Well, if you do put the guild design thing into action, I'd like to receive an invitation.
As for the world politics thing, I'm still iffy. It's not so much that there is a huge American demographic online as the fact that other countries don't seem as vocal about politics (I mean... look at Canada). Still, along with American politics, the incorporation of Canadian and Australian politics... even European politics would be so heavily first world-oriented that I'd find it a complete turn off.
