Well it is obviously missing flames. Better yet, animated gifs of flames. Spice it up with at least 7 different fonts. You do have a pop-up welcome message right?
I really can't think of anything. It does look good so far.

blaugh Okay, its a simple design, which has its merits, and the colour scheme is gorgeous, but I have a few suggestions to spruce it up a little:
- the nav links on the left could be bigger, to differentiate them from the main text more, and fill up a bit more of that big space.
- the headings area good size, but maybe making them purple or another colour would make them stand out more, and look more interesting.
- move down the content and navigation boxes a bit, so they're not squashing the header (image?)
- some kind of graphic in the header image would be nice, to add more interest to the page. Maybe a logo (if the place you are designing this for has one)
- the borders on only 2 sides is a bit strange to me
sweatdrop I think it would be better either with borders on all sides, or with the border on the top and left of the nav, and the bottom and right of the content, so visually its more of a containing effect
Oh and good on you for using CSS! It is the way of the future!
