[Link]Quote: We've suddenly been hit with a jellybean craving, thanks to Nintendo Power's reveal of a Boy and His Blob "reinvention" for Wii. The magazine teases an upcoming Wii preview with a pixelated image of the article, to be revealed March 5. The table of contents, however, features the unobscured Boy and His Blob artwork seen here. We can only hope that this Wii reimagining of the classic David Crane-designed puzzle-adventure will fare better than the heartbreakingly cancelled DS game. The single piece of art is already more promising than the admittedly garish look of the DS game, at least. Original: New Versions: [More Info]So then... has anyone played this game? I never did but I heard it's supposed to be really fun and incredibly controller snapping hard too.

I have a gameboy version of the game.
I end up wandering aimlessly until I decide to take out a rocket and crash into the side of the castle because I have no idea what the hell I'm supposed to be doing.

Waynebrizzle The new graphics look hot. I was gonna say that... Also, the blob itself looks less, um... creepy in the new one. Even though I haven't played the original I'd probably buy this one if/when it hits the stores/WiiWare(?).

I used to see ads for this game on Cinematech all the time... I think I'd be interested in trying it out. The new art almost looks Miyazaki-esque, don't you guys think so? 3nodding

In the game you control the boy who feeds his blog jelly beans, different colors give the blob different powers.

That game.....I don't know how it sold so well honestly. The fact that you die as easily as the silver surfer could really pissed me off. xp

Waynebrizzle The new graphics look hot. They remind me of the Wario Land game for the Wii.

Awesome! A Boy and his Blob was crazy fun even though we only rented it. It was really hard though.
