What would you want to see in the next Metroid game?

Since the last new Metroid game was Corruption, what would you like to see in their new game?

Classic 2D with 3D graphics. Hopefully for the DSi, using the mic and touch screen in some way? At least 2D and portable, that leads for a great Metroid game, I never beat any on the 3D ones for the GC/Wii.

i'd like to see the next in the story line. that would mean story after fusion.

An online game. Not playing as samus, instead playing as someone with a gun, sword, something different you know. Like Samus has been captured and it is up to you and your team to save her. Kind of like a fusion between Mass Effect and Metroid that is also 4 player like co-op.

I would honestly like a updated version of Metroid 2 return of Samus. A 3D side scroller would be nice.

The only one I've beaten is Fusion. So having something telling you exactly what to do along the way is exactly what I want.

Whatever it is, I want Speed Boost and Shinesparking in it, as well as the screw attack. Speed boost is really awesome in 2D, and I'd bet it would be fun moving around with it in 3D too. Maybe a new upgrade that combines the two into a warp speed track star ricocheting cannonball? Backtracking isn;t as bad when you can move like lightning and bust through everything in your way.

But she can't speed boost. The speed boost is one of the most powerful weapons in her arsenal.

I want it to be in 3D, but not fully a first-person.

I think the games could be expanded upon if the add more elements to the game. Only recent games have really had any plot.

Maybe a storyline without backtracking, that would be interesting.
