My Zelda prediction. I will bet gold that it's right. I will bet 10k that the princess/blue girl or whatever in the artwork in the next Zelda IS Link's sword, and that's why he's not holding one in the artwork.

In their defense there are a lot of spirit swords out there in fiction, and I have seen characters turn into weapons and items before.
