Hey if we are on the enterprise we need the expendable guys who are doomed to die on a landing mission with Kirk, Spock, and Mccoy. These are the red shirts known for there red blood like uniforms. Usually the death of a red shirt causes Kirk to want to stay on the deadly planet and find out what happened. Leading to the death of more red shirts. Most of the time they are given two lines being "yes sir" and "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH". So if you have a death wish become a red shirt!
