I heard about it and wondered why I didn't catch it. Thanks for the animation. It explains a lot.
It's a shame that the solar eclipse didn't cover Australia. I would have dearly liked to see what an eclipse would be like.

There was a total one in Britain in like '98, I went with some friends to the 'ideal spot' to see it.. but since this IS Britain, it was all overcast and cloudy ): it was pretty cool though when it went all dark and the streetlights came on automatically, even though it was the middle of the day~

i've never seen a total eclipse i remember a few years back there was a lunar eclipse and my brother set up his tripod and took pics every few minutes or something it was cool.
