So far movies based on anime have been suck. Speed racer was not that bad, a little hard to follow but its better then what I've seen of the DBZ movie.
The Deathnote movies rocked. Funny hearing the guy who played vegeta's voice in the pioneer dub f DBz say "I think you're in some deep s**t light"
G-Force: Guardians of Space aka Gatchaman is suppose to have a movie coming out. At least that's what a Starz anime special said.
think power rangers in bird suits and you have Gatchaman.
Mushi-shi has a live action movie out now
Street fighters has another one out, and Blood the last vampire too.

I hope Karas has a live action at some point, it would just be so bad a**! I'm STILL waiting for Evangelion live action -__- but that's clearly not going to take place before all of Rebuild is released, which is annoying.

I think a Live action Ex-Driver movie would be cool. Out of most animes, Ex-Drivers would be very easy to adapt to a Live-action movie.
Two hot girls and a 12 year old boy who drive around in race cars to saves people from run away A.I. cars and bad guys is a awesome movie concept.

I think it would be kinda cool to see a live action film of Naruto or Bleach to come out. Talk about action.

no way. ESPECIALLY not if its american made bullshit like most seem to be. if the mangakas actualy had a hand in them, MAYBE. but i HIGHLY doubt it ((referring specifically to bleach and naruto))

Yeah, that Gatchaman movie has been in the works for a few years now...it seems the release date has been pushed back to 2011... x.x
...and comparing Gatchaman to Power Rangers is so incredibly wrong, I'm not even going to get into it. gonk
Yeah, the Speed Racer movie was not bad...I guess it helps that the original series never really had a solid plot to begin with... xd
One upcoming movie that's been in the works for about 10 years now is Akira. The original movie always seemed very cinematic, which would make it easy to adapt to live-action - now they just need to stay faithful to the original story (like Death Note did), and not veer off into complete fiction, a la Dragonball. 3nodding

I'm surprise no one has thought about a Gundam movie. I'd like to see a live action adaptation of Bible Black that would be an interesting thing. x3

Well, yeah, the old Power Rangers were better (did you know that Power Rangers go all the way back to 1974 in Japan? O.o ) , but the only thing Gatchaman and them have in common is that they are a "team of five" - which is actually an anime genre unto itself. There are no giant robots in Gatchaman. They fight hand-to-hand and with laser pistols - they're closer to GI Joe than to Power Rangers... xd

I think they should make a gundam movie. Have a chick or two on the gundam side. just throw some young sexy actors in greescreen backed cockpits. have them run around a base and set charges ect.

I think anyone who watched a superteam show from back then needs to see a two episode anime called Assemble Insert, it's a low budget OVA with many of the Patlabor guys directing. It spoofs those kinds of shows well and is just a silly thing to behold. I would like to see a Galaxy Express 999 live action, it would be epic and if done well I could die happy after viewing it a few dozen times!

Oh! I had a cool idea just now, a Last Exile movie. I tear up at the thought of it...Steampunk galore and a lovable cast would make a nice summer blockbuster! On a sidenote, what's everyone's take on the upcoming Astroboy film?
