Do you like rap or pop?

Ok, so i was listening to my radio when i heard one of the deejays ask the other deejay if he or she liked rap. He/she said she liked rap, but also liked pop. So he/she asked the radio audience if they liked rap or pop and why. What your answer?

I prefer pop.

To me, most "rap" these days is the same old stuff. It gets monotonous and boring easily.

I like mostly pop, but some rap is ok. I just don't like the 'hardcore' rap

I like pop over rap because it's kinda easier to listen to. I'd prefer rock [mostly alternative] over the two, though.

Rap all the way. Why? Well before I tell you that..I don't mean all this new crap. I mean like Shady in the old days. And even in the new days. That kind of stuff. Because rap is describing what everyone does, what they face every day, and how they get over it. REAL stuff. Except some stuff Shady says. xP

I like Pop but not rap. Rap isn't really singing, it's just sing-talking ussually. And it has too much voice mixing and stuff that sort of ruins the song for me. I may be generalizing a bit here, but I just don't tend to like rap. It lacks the melody that most generas have and tries to substitute it with an overdose of rhythm that doesn't really fill the void. Again, yeah, I'm generalizing, but it's hard not to with a question like that. Also rap often leaves out my favorite instrument (or shafts it), which is the guitar.

I like pop somewhat just because it has good melody, and the instruments they use are good. A lot of it is a bit too similar, but it's still a nice genera.
