Personality: He is ever gentlemanly, if that implies being cynical, sharp-tongued and prone to having a potty mouth. He is a horrible cook, which has caused America to have bad taste in food for the most part. Arthur is a strong believer of spirits/ghosts, faeries/fairies, magic, and other fantasy related things and has a list of spiritual residents and ghost tours. He can see and interact with beings of supernatural origin, not just fey and unicorns from his own land but spirits like kappa (Oh god that was one scary Kappa. D: ) from Japan. Behind his cynical realistic view on the world, he is deep down a romanticist (a pervert). Arthur's interests includes embroidery (IT'S PERFECTLY MANLY), craftsmanship, reading literature (his own literature), rock music (FFFF yes) and giving scathing criticisms to Alfred's movies.*
Past: Arthur has been many things in his life. Starting of course as a small child (with unruly hair, clothed in a green cloak, often seen with bunnies) [Hurrr the Anglo-Saxons]. He was often picked on and beat up by his older brothers at this time, but still managed to protect his nation and people. (For the purpose of this journal I'm not going to go on a five page rant about the country's history. But rather Arthur's.) Obviously he was a knight at some point, eventually a (kickass)pirate (destroying armadas along the way). He's always been magical. l3 Britannia Angel, yusyus. Secretly a total punk at heart~ Has raised quite a few colonies in his day (of course almost all left him in violent and horribly depressing ways). Raising America and Canada (is the time I know most about because we Americans have terribly bias text books) only to have them both leave him left Iggy as we know him today. o >o Afraid to get to close to people and remaining the undeniably adorably invincible British gentleman we know today.

Alfred Jones (America) : Alfred was discovered as a small child by Arthur, who adopted him and raised him as his younger brother. Arthur always dropped by at Alfred's place whenever he could at the time, but he always needed to return to Europe after his visits, which made Alfred very sad and lonely. Only Alfred is capable of liking or tolerating Arthur's terrible cooking because he grew up around it and hates to see the old man sad. Arthur didn't only cook for Alfred, but he gave him toys and clothes as well when they were together. They also slept together whenever Alfred couldn't sleep after reading or watching something related to ghosts.
When the Revolutionary War came, Alfred declared his independence and split from Arthur. Arthur almost won the battle but in the end he gave up, not being able to shoot Alfred (IRL Arthur surrendered at the battle of Yorktown and decided that "the war was too costly to pursue"). That event always makes Arthur heartbroken, and he will not venture out of his house much during the whole month of July.
During the World Wars, both Arthur and Alfred were part of the Allied Forces. Arthur often disagrees with the unusual or silly ideas that Alfred presents during meetings, and often questions his intelligence.* But of course he still loves the git.

Personality: Jack is only slightly more intelligent than your average dog, and he isn't able to make any vocal sounds. He's a very cuddly and loyal guy who is generally good-natured and adorable. He can move about on his front legs but doesn't tend to considering his tail drags behind, which slows him down considerably, and his paws and tail will leave odd paint-like trails in his wake. Instead, he has the ability to float up to ten feet off the ground, and uses this skill as his usual method of transportation. Jack is also deathly afraid of bees.
