User ImageThis looks like quite an interesting and high-tech accessory. The Wii vitality sensor is supposed to track your heartbeat and tell you all kinds of other medical things. How could this accessory be used in future games and why?

It can't.
At least, not in anything good.

That Grudge game. It rates you on how you shook and jumped in the level. Now they have your heart rate.

On the Jap N64 you had something called a Bio Sensor which was used for Tetris 64, in which you had to stay calm otherwise it would mess up the speed of the blocks falling.

Simple.

They'll make a zelda game that allows you to play even with 0 hp. When you take further damage, the game will hurt the real player instead.

That piece is just to check wether the player is still alive or not.

I'll admit, I laughed pretty hard.

I'd play that.
Gives you a real reason to hang on to some red potions.

It's just going to be released for fun, but it's not going to be accurate.

So next year they'll make the Wii Vitality Sensor Plus.

They... kinda messed up on this one. They should have made it so the vitality sensor could somehow be on the hand that is holding the Wii remote so you can still hold the nunchuck. Or... they might think of something.

I think that is the main problem with it. You can only have it plugged into the Wiimote-with nothing else. Still, if you could wear it while you had a nunchuk plugged in, you would have two wires and all sorts of stuff connected to you. Maybe something that wraps around your arm? I don't know.

It's interesting to think about, though. You have to keep in mind that this is something Nintendo has been experimenting with for awhile, so they've thought of some pretty interesting stuff; I'm sure. I just want to see what they've thought of.
