So how do I level up my pokemon?
Say your starting with an Eevee, you've posted 12 times with it now it's leveling time. Here's a level 5 Eevee
Quote: [F]EeveeLv. 5 Hp. 55 Atk. 11 - SpAtk. 9 Def. 10 - SpDef. 13 Spd. 11 - Hap.17Run AwayThis Pokémon can always run from wild battles. SeriousAttacks:Helping Hand, [Goes First.][User's ally's next move inflicts 50% more damage.]Tackle, 22 [Does Regular Damage.]Tail Whip, [Lowers the targets defense by 2]
Now I'll level it.
Quote: [F]EeveeLv. 6 Hp. 57 Atk. 13 - SpAtk. 10 Def. 11 - SpDef. 14 Spd. 12 - Hap.17Run AwayThis Pokémon can always run from wild battles. SeriousAttacks:Helping Hand, [Goes First.][User's ally's next move inflicts 50% more damage.]Tackle, 24 [Phys. Atk.][Does Regular Damage.]Tail Whip, [Lowers the targets defense by 2]
Confused at what I did? I put 8 different points into her stats, I put: 2 into Hp, 2 into Atk, 1 into SpAtk, 1 into Def, 1 into SpDef, and 1 into Spd.
What does all this mean?
HP is short for Hit Points, meaning how much damage a pokemon can take before fainting. There is only 1 pokemon you can't put points into Hp, that is Shedninja.
Atk is short for physical attack, this determines how much damage pokemon does with physical attacks. Every 1 point into Atk raises every physical attack a pokemon has by 1 damage
SpAtk is short for Special Attack, this determines how much damage a pokemon does with special attacks. Every 1 point into SpAtk raises every special attack a pokemon has by 1 damage
Def is short for defense, this determines how resistant a pokemon is to physical attacks, every point into this stat determines how much damage is taken off of a physical attack done to the pokemon. Take the difference between the opponents attack power and your pokemons defense, this is what will tell you how much to add or subtract from the opponents physical attacks. If their attack is more then your pokemons defense you add the difference to the damage, and if your pokemons defense is more than their physical attack you subtract from the damage.
SpDef is short for special defense, this determines how resistant a pokemon is to special attacks, every point into this stat determines how much damage is taken off of a special attack done to the pokemon. Take the difference between the opponents special attack power and your pokemons special defense, this is what will tell you how much to add or subtract from the opponents special attacks. If their special attack is more then your pokemons special defense you add the difference to the damage, and if your pokemons special defense is more than their special attack you subtract from the damage.
Spd is short for speed, this determines how fast a pokemon is. The pokemon with higher speed goes first in a battle.
Hap is short for happiness, this is how happy your pokemon is to be with you, once it reaches 200, pokemon that level by happiness can evolve. This stat goes up 1 every post you make that has your pokemon in it. You can not put the leveling points in this stat. Every item you use on your pokemon will effect it's happiness, the item will state what it does. Pokemon reaching 0 HP, faints, will lose 5 happiness points.
So you have 8 different points you can put into those 6 different stats, you can put how ever many points into whatever stats you want, even put them all into one stat, or spread them out evenly through every stat, it's up to you and your training method. Eggs do not get points on level up.

So I have my first pokemon now, and I know how to train it... I want more!
There are a couple different ways to get pokemon.
1. In the wild:
A. While you're out training every so often (it depends on the area you're in how many posts it takes) you have the ability to try for a random pokemon encounter. In the first or second post of the different areas there should be information on how this ability works in that certain place. To catch them you will have to battle them. Every pokemon has a different catch rate, every pokemon distributes a different amount of exp.
B. Every once in a while mods will release special pokemon in different areas that aren't on the wild encounter list, you can usually catch these by either battling them or roleplaying something out with the mod.
2. Other means:
A. Contests: The guild will host contests time to time, they will have different prizes, sometimes pokemon.
B. Casino: The casino sometimes offers pokemon as prizes.
Ok now I have my second pokemon, how many more can I have?
On your belt you can carry up to 6 pokemon, any you catch after that will be sent to your storage box (you will have to send it to your storage box yourself).
What's a storage box?
This is where you keep your pokemon that you don't currently have with you. You can customize it to your hearts content and pretty it up and make it interesting, a good way to attract people to look at it is to have a poll and a catchy name. You can also store items you don't want to carry around with your trainer at all times, and another good idea is to put your last training post there so you can keep track of how much you've trained sense you where last here. It is mandatory to have one, even if you have less then 6 pokemon. You must travel to a pokemon center to switch out pokemon and items from your storage box.

I think my pokemon learns a new move, how can I tell?
Our VC Vincavec is working on a guild movedex, you can look there, or a favorite site of mine is Veekun. You can look at either of those, and if your still not sure, ask in the Q&A thread with your pokemons profile and a mod should answer. If your pokemon does learn a move, ask a mod to give you the move by either PMing one or asking in the Q&A thread, I find the Q&A thread more helpful sense any mod that's on can see it and assist you.
It's time for my pokemon to evolve!
Great! Post their profile in the Q&A thread, or PM it to a mod and they should evolve it for you!
To evolve any farther my pokemon needs a evolution stone, how do I get one?
You can find them lying around the guild, mods post them as mini events a lot of times, though there's no guarantee what type it will be. A few of them will be available at different markets and stores around the guild, you can buy them with PP. Wild pokemon might be carrying around stones as well, and with your background you may start out with a stone!

I've seen some strange colored pokemon floating around, what are those?
We have our own custom colored pokemon here that we include for a nice touch. To obtain your own colored pokemon there's different ways to do so, you can breed colored pokemon and hope you get one, or you can use a paint stone which is permanent and passes the coloring onto their offspring, or use a paint spray which temporarily dyes your pokemons fur for an X amount of time, or you may run across a rare colored pokemon out in the wild.
So you explained how to encounter pokemon but how do I catch them?
You need to battle the wild pokemon to weaken it. If you out level the wild pokemon greatly and any move you use would faint it, don't worry! They won't disappear but just faint, and you can catch them then. Be wary though, because this will cause the pokemon to be less happy with you at the start.
Do different type of balls matter?
They can, as the pokemon level goes up so does their difficulty rate for catching it with a regular pokeball. Getting better balls more suited to the pokemon level, and or type can help a lot. Here at the guild we also have some of our own type of balls that we've made and customized ourselves with unique ability's, be on the look out for them around different stores in the guild.

Rules
1. No Godmodding, meaning you can't have your pokemon evade attacks every time, or have it crit every single time. You can't control someone else pokemon or trainers. 2. No releasing yourself special pokemon or items. 3. v Please don't post your trainer application in your join request. Add google rocks my socks to your join request. 4. ^ Do NOT cheat, do not give yourself 9 or 10 leveling points if you should only have 8, do not post 11 times instead of 12, so not go against anything in this thread or anything that seems questionable, we will warn you, we will ban you. 5. Please post in full sentences, and try to make your words make sense, it's hard to interact with you if you don't. (This also means no net speak!) 6. No spamming! We have a thread for that. You can find it Here 7. We would like to keep this guild as Pg-13 as we can. 8. Do not ask to be a moderator, we'll approach you if we deem you qualified. 9. Something seems fishy about these rules, maybe you should investigate?
Depending on the circumstance you could get banned on first offense, or possibly make you start over from scratch, repeated offense after a warning will get you banned.

Trainer Profiles
To do anything in the guild you first have to receive a trainer profile, this post will tell you how and what to do to get one and what each thing means on the skeleton so you can fill it out properly.
Character Name - This will be the name your character goes by, please be realistic, no one has numbers in their name.
Character Nickname - If your character has a preferred name other then their birth given name.
Character Age - This is your characters age
Character Sprite - This will be what your character looks like, must be sprite version for normal posts, but for places like your storage box you can have a different kind of picture that's larger then your sprite. You can find sprites here: Set 1 Set 2 Set 3 Set 4 You can use other sprites as well.
Dream - What does your character want to be in life? A breeder? A gym leader? A pokemon master?
Home Town - Where was your character born? We would prefer you to chose a town from the guild but if approved by a mod you can have a different home town.
Background - This can effect how you start out, if you write up a good background and clear it with a mod you might end up starting out with something extra (extra pp, and evolution stone, something relevant to your background). Just remember, currently all the gym leaders are NPC's it's unlikely you will be a child of one of them, same with the elite 4, and the league champion. Write up a good, original background and you might be able to convince Toasty otherwise.
Character Name - Character NickName - Character Age - Character Sprite - Dream - Home Town - Background -
Fill this out and post it here in this thread if you have been accepted into the guild, a mod will give you your trainer profile so you can start in your home town or if you just want to skip to the lab you'll be going to. You'll receive your first pokemon and basic items at the lab you chose to go to, but start out with pp. If you have a special background in mind PM Toasty and you can work it out, along with special home towns.
