what do you do to overcome your depression? i need help bcuz i dont kno wat 2 do. all im doing now is drawing a checkered brokenheart on my the side of my hand with a red pen and drwing hrd. my hand is red now.

What I did was listen to a lot of Emo, Post Hardcore, Screamo and Folk Punk.
Pop in some I Hate Myself, La Dispute, You and I, Andrew Jackson Jihad, I Hate Dreams or American Football.

What I do is I listen to my favorite music: Screamo, Metal... that stuff. And I just draw out all my feelings on paper... Trust me, it helps. I've lived in depression for almost a year... I know how you feel.

Write about it. Scream at something (into a pillow. it's fun: ) Run around the house or the block or something. Play an instrument. Sing. Do something to pre-occupy your mind. Talk to some people (possibly friends) about random stuff. Hope that helps, it does for me,

pick a soundtrack and take a walk to blow off steam and get away from everyone
i did that so much when i was going through bad times in my life
also writing it down or talking really helps
as well as drawing/painting

what i do is write it down (although it always comes out as poetry) or i draw it out, or blast my music in my ears, (takes my mind off the pain) or i go sprinting in the rain (same effect, and the rain makes it feel clensing) i suggest all.......sorry, if anyone ever wants to talk im here

I'm currently on a deppression. I know how it feels. And I've got two advices: Listen to music (cheerful) and hang out with friends as much as possible. That will take most of the deppression away.

I know, you must be so depressed, writing on your hand with a red pen is just letting you express it all. If you like drawing hearts, why not try drawing other things? Maybe visit the free art forum here on Gaia and see if you can take up all the time in your oh-so-depressing-live with art.
