Quote:
"Whenever we have to think about the remake," Aonuma told IGN, "we have to also think about the background, especially what kind of situation, what kind of period and time that previous game was played in, because, be it Ocarina of Time or any other games, whenever they say they want to have a remake on whichever platform, they have some emotional attachment from playing that game at that particular time or environment." According to Aonuma, that sort of background is always there. "We cannot afford to destroy that kind of emotional attachment."

I agree. They're fine the way they are.

Although Master Quest is kind of a remake.
Well.. not exactly. But you know what i mean.

Eh...it's not a remake so much as a LoZ-style second quest. And even then, it's actually a leftover from a scrapped game on a failed system accessory.

I suppose I'd have to agree, though it is nice to see the slightly cleaned up graphics on the Collector's Edition and Virtual Console ports. Now, Metroid II, there's a game that's in desperate need of a remake. I'm thinking like Zero Mission, either 2D or 2.5D on the DS, with a map on the second screen...

Yeah true. That failed accessory was actually pretty cool though... such a shame.

Ports aren't remakes.

I would agree if it actually was a port.

That's why i said "kind of".

IT was a direct port of the N64 Disc Drive game Ura zelda

Actually, it was more of a polishing of the unfinished concept for the N64DD

Anyway, Calling master quest anything more than a port is like Calling RE4 not a port, simply because of the additional ADA mission and unlockable costumes.(And horribly lowered polygon count)

Yeah, I kinda get what they're saying. It wouldn't be the same. But then, there'd always be the old game for the nostalgia. *shrug*

To be honest, if they remade a game I liked even with updated graphics and shiz on a new console, I'd probably buy it. :/ I'm a sucker for Zeldas.

Majora's Mask needs a Master Quest, like three years ago. Just changing some of the puzzles and locations would make it worth it. All I need is one little incentive like that I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Sometimes I wish I could forget all about a game just so I could experience it fully again.

I'd just wanna say they're lazy in a good way. It's like them thar wrassling shows on t.v. trying to recapture the oldschool stuff on modern times. It just won't work and is sad to see.

Re-ports are the best solution. I enjoyed master quest, What would be cool to see would be DLC for new quests, and such for Twilight Princess on the wii.

In the perfect world of course I would LOVE a Majora's Mask remake but well its not what they want and ya got to respect their discisions.

I'd love to see Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask on DS or something like Super Mario 64 DS, but they'd never do it confused
