No clue. Don't really care either. L4D2 is so good that it makes L4D feel like some random Source Mod.
I've tried playing L4D after playing L4D2, and I just can't. The game pales in comparison to it's sequel.

anyways recently Valve confirmed another campaign for L4d1 coming early 2010.

I'm still mad about L4D2.
I really thought I would like it since it's everything L4D was supposed to be.
Then I realized... I payed money for L4D and they want me to pay money again for the game I thought I was buying the first time.
Also the characters in L4D2 suck. neutral

The Awkwardest Turtle I'm still mad about L4D2. I really thought I would like it since it's everything L4D was supposed to be. Then I realized... I payed money for L4D and they want me to pay money again for the game I thought I was buying the first time. Also the characters in L4D2 suck. neutral I think a few places are selling it for 20 bawks still... if so... Think of it like an expansion.

Who honestly cares? The game is worth the full retail price. It's everything L4D1 should have been and more.
The new characters are awesome... well the male characters. Honestly I never liked the original survivors save for Zoey.

I've liked every character except for Rochelle. She's just so bland. Ellis is my favorite character so far, up there with Francis.
And while buying L4D NOW wouldn't really be worth it, I don't regret purchasing it at all. I got enough gametime out of it for it to be worth the $50.
L4D2 isn't everything L4D should have been, it's everything L4D was, and more.
Honestly, anyone who cries about L4D2 has unrealistic expectations, imo.

The first L4D is fun until you realize every "campaign" is the same thing.
