Dai-Gilgamesh <.< The Mario games are awesome, noob. Oh hi. Lets Pokebattle
Congratulations, you've just entirely ignored the swastika on the pokemon card, and instead decided to talk about the truth that is my signature. You've switched up the original intent of this thread.
Anyway. I'll start off by saying: A couple of new power-ups do not justify a major gameplay change between a mario game of today, than one of the games of the NES days. Also, playing as the same character with the same overused abilities(which seems to be commonplace in many others games nowadays) gets old. Quickly. It might have worked the first time, or the second time, or something entirely different in the 64 version(which I found was boring, because it dragged on easily), but it's just going to become a chore in the 100th edition of the game. Nostalgia and "Innovation" doesn't last long.
Not even Sega pulls this bullshit with Sonic. At least they equally work on their other games. Unlike Nintendo. Where I haven't seen a game of theirs worth playing, since probably SSBB.

You can name some recent worthwhile Sega games? I know I can't. Anything with Sonic blows, except SSBB and that's not even a Sega game.
Oh hi. Lets Pokebattle
Phantasy star games, NiGHTS, and their other little mini games. I'd also count in Panzer Dragoon, but I think they stopped with making the games. But lol. Just because I say Nintendo hasn't made anything worthwhile doesn't mean Sega has produced something godly. So please, don't reiterate my words.
Nintendo just needs to balance out the production of Mario BS, and produce the other, far superior games. Because quite honestly, I'm sick of seeing "Mario and the godly [insert item here]" with the plot of "PEACH HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED", along with gameplay that I've seen since the NES days.
At least the Sonic games have switched up the gameplay, dramatically at times, but they're often underrated because of nostalgia fags ruining his reputation.

You were the one who entered Sega into this, not I. Don't be so defensive, I only asked a simple question. Nor did I stick up for Nintendo or Mario. So most of your post has nothing to do with me.
I've never really gotten into sega past Sonic, though I have heard that Nights was pretty good. Oh and Jet set/grind radio was amazing. & I did play that awful sega tennis game though. But recently, I don't think Sega has been it's best. I'll count myself in as a nostalgiafag, I miss the old Sonic. The last good Sonic game was Adventure Battle 2 and that was how long ago? 8 Years. But you're the one who questioned the games of Sega. Plus, it doesn't look like a simple question if you're going to quote something from an argument-type post(especially since I raged at Nintendo in that bit you quoted).
False. SU is the last good one(would be even better if the werehog parts were executed better). Lack of characters, lack of emphasis on characters besides sonic, simple plot, superior level design compared to the recent games(but since there's the fast gameplay put in, it'll obviously be trial and error). Everything all the "nostalgia fags" wanted, only marred because it's not 2D
