Tuxedo Mask vs. The Moonlight Knight!

heart I don't think this has been done yet, so I'm making a thread! Basically, state which one you think is better (and by the way, no involving the manga version of Tuxedo Mask since the Moonlight Knight isn't apart of it) heart

TUXEDO MASK:


Pros:
1. Looks AWESOME with the mask (basically, he's hot)
2. Can make really long throws with steel-tipped roses
3. Has a pimp cane (it extends to long distances wink )
4. Basically has teleportation since he could be anywhere and be on the scene with the Scouts the next second (as seen with whatever episode where he was forced to transform before he knew who he was)
5. Was actually pretty cool in his former life as Prince Endymion (Derethia's note: had a pimp sword x3)
6. Saves Sailor Soldiers often.
7. (By Derethia) Always hits his target. (No matter, how far away the target is)

Cons:
1. Is prone to brainwashing
2. Doesn't have much in the attack range. Only once or twice do we actually see him use his pimp cane to fight
3. Is prone to being hurt (2 out of 3 of the movies he gets hurt seriously)
4. The roses don't have much usage other than to distract an enemy for a second (though only once in "Birthday Blues" did they do anything)
5. (Derethia: )Goes twice in the same trap ( The shadow control in the start of S and SuperS)

If anyone has anything to add to either Pros and Cons, just post. Next, the Moonlight Knight!

heart Alright, here's our next contestant! Though essentially Tuxedo Mask in Arabian form, this guy made us wonder for awhile. heart

MOONLIGHT KNIGHT:


Pros:
1. Makes the Arabian getup look AWESOME (also hot in other words x3 )
2. Has a SWORD. Rather, a saber, but what's the difference?
3. Throws white steel-tipped roses
4. Appears ANYWHERE. Basically, he actually does have teleportation, though it might not look it

Cons:
1. We found out that it was actually Darien's subconscious, so there was no possibility for others to even think about a relationship xD
2. For the whole filler, he was a mystery
3. Got his a** kicked by Ann and Allen (though I don't exactly remember how, I just remember it was like "wtf?")
4. Made people wonder if Darien was schizophrenic

I'd give my vote for Moonlight Knight. Look is better and he is more mysterious.

Pros and Cons for Tuxedo Mask:
+ Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite are his soldiers. ( Also Helios, if we include manga.)
+ Saves Sailor Soldiers often.
- Goes twice in the same trap ( The shadow control in the start of S and SuperS)
+ Had sword when he was Endymion.
+ Hits always his target. ( No matter, how far away the target is)

It's been a long time when I've watched first part of R, so I don't remember much of it. Only that the Moonlight Knight appeared first time in the episode, where Makoto's friend got hurt quite badly.

Those roses break everything. No matter is it leather, glass or jewel.

I've always wondered, where did dub take the name Darien Shields if the real name is Mamoru Chiba, until I realised that Mamoru means protect (or close to that)in japanese.

I give my vote for Tuxedo Mask. He's the original Darien character and he's super hot. Tuxedo Mask is smart and he does everything he can to save sailor moon and the other sailor scouts when they are in a pinch.

heart Okay, Derethia, because you brought up the point about his soldiers and Helios, I can't include that (only in the manga do we see mention of the Four Generals being Endymion's guardians). But I will add those others, since I didn't think of 'em heart

Haha I remember when I watched R for the first time I was wondering what was up with Darien and his crazy multi-personalities. I vote for Tuxedo Mask though. He was my first animated crush and he's the reason I love real life guys in suits/tuxes.

Anime almost skipped over the four generals at their role as Mamoru's guardians, but wasn't there one episode where Kunzite shows himself to Mamoru? ( Or I'm just mixing up the Sailor Moon Snes game xD)
