Which Death Note Character shouldn't have died? Besides L

A lot of characters were killed in Death Note and I was wondering which ones everybody though shouldn't have died; this doesn't include L because the general consensus is that he should not have had to die.

This. His death was completely unnecessary... the smoking would have been a more fitting death*. And Watari's; I was heartbroken when he had the heart attack. Such a nice old man to be slaugthered by the ******** Kira.



At least in Rewrite 2, he isn't killed by the bodyguards. The newscaster states that the perpetrator evaded the bodyguards, which means according to R2 canon, Matt is number 2!

I don't think Rem should of died (or Gelus as well) but that would ruin the whole plot XD

Ligh't father shouldn't of died but if he lived he would suffer depression knowing that his son was actually Kira.
