The mortal instuments are a great book series. I've only read till the city of....hang on let me look...

The Mortal Instruments series is one
of the reasons I do not read YA anymore.
Bad enough that the series had every
kind of emo fangirl dream creature in it.
Even the implied incest wasn't the worst
part of the series. Even though, "OMG,
we're actually not brother and sister!!"
"LET'S MAKE OUT," did make me want
to vomit. No, the worst part was how
many times while reading the series I
suddenly yelled "called it!!" to the
delight or dismay of everyone around
me. Really, honestly.. there was not a
single plot point that I didn't predict.
And by itself, that wouldn't make it a
terrible series. Just a shallow one. But
put together with all that other stuff and
you've got a wonderfully shitty series.

I can say it was Predictable but i stll believe it was a really good series. I didn't care. Though some of it was a shock. But then again i don't think any series has been able to surpise me since the Harry Potter series. I've learned of the many tricks authors can pull.
