D; On Monday I dropped my flute, and it hit floor about the distance from a chair to the ground. I quickly grabbed it and check the keys. The keys all seem to be okay (I believe) but now I cannot play a normal "D" or "Eb", and it's a struggle just to hear the other notes.
Do you think something really may be wrong with my instrument, or can I just not play anymore?
Sorry if I sound very idiotic, I'm just very worried.

You've probably just popped a spring loose or bent something. Most likely its just that a spring is sitting in the wrong spot. Because of certian notes not working thats what it sounds like to me.
Its not you. Show your band director, if he/she can't fix it, take it to a music/instrument store. Or wherever you bought it. It dosnt sound seriously damaged at all, if its the spring then it can be popped back in in like 2 seconds. (locating the out of place spring is what you need help with)
But I cant see it so I dont know the extent of the damage for sure. You do need to show someone who can fix it though.

It could possibly be that during the impact, it caused some of your keys to come loose. Check your keys, and press down each one at a time, sometimes there are thin gaps that let air out of the key holes.
That's what happened to my previous flute before it died.

Thank you so much everyone! I'm most likely taking it to the music store tomorrow.
